Received a message today that showed up on my caller ID as a number local to my area.  They left a message stating that it was "Julie from SFG calling about a check I had written that they needed to verify".  Well I write very few checks and all that I have written have cleared the bank.  Read many other posts about another number that is being given out to call back about callinga  Peter from SFG with the same message.  These ppl are amazing.  WHY cannot they not do something about all these scammers?

Got a call (with local area code number) from them leaving an automated message from "Russell" about "a matter that may or may not concern me" and they left the number 877-683-5486 as a return number. From searching FFG and associates it appears to be a scam.

From another site "The web indicates it is a scam company by the name of Frontier Financial Group out of Nevada aka Vegalo LLC.  One post even has a link to a State of Nevada court order to cease and desist because they are not a licensed collection agency."

Don't call back, don't give personal information to them.

Ok - every day for at least a month, there has been a message left from Russell at either SFG or FFG & Associates.  Number is from Orlando, FL ( caller ID (407) 963-3496), but number left on message is 877-683-5486. I decided to finally call back today and got a woman named Jane. I asked why she was calling and she stated she was looking for......my ex-sister-in-law, who no one in our family has seen in 20 years. However, I found her by googling her name - they have also been harassing my 82 year old father.  Threatened legal action if there is continued calls and harassment - WILL report to FL Attorney General's Office.

Unwanted call Russell-may or may be of interest, Can we stop this?

I got a call from a local number asking me to call that number. In it, the woman named my county. I have a somewhat common name and no debts, so I am betting that it is a mistake, but saw on another website people saying that this company means business.

I get regular threatening calls and voicemails for a Kenny Young Sr (who I have never known and likely had my phone number before I did).  The caller ID says all kinds of stuff but this 877 number is the one left in the messages to return the calls.  Despite having called them numerous times to tell them to leave me alone and that I have no idea who Kenny Young is the calls still come in.  Today, when I called back to ask them to stop calling me, the woman on the other line asked "Is this *my name*?" and when I answered "Yes" she just hung up.  WTF?

"Sherry" left message to call to this number, extension 351.  Caller ID is number with same area code.  Did not give company name.  Message left for ex-husband haven't seen/talked to in 15+ years and has never lived in this area.  Stated this is not a solicitation call, it is important you call as soon as you get message.

Each day here is the message "Hi. This is Russell, from F F T and Associates please call me regarding a matter that may or may not affect you. You can reach me at 1(877) 683-5486 and I'll explain a bit further. Again, the number is, 1(877) 683-5486. Thanks, Good Bye."

So Russell, does the matter concern me, or not? If it is an attempt to collect a debt, why not say that? Honestly, I only deal with Debt collectors in writing, its the only way for me to protect myself.

Same as all the others above with regards to "Russell",and  "Jason". They are totally outside the law in this area. Having been married to someone in the legal field for many years, I can tell you that these people scan any financial information available to them via the internet or other various lists, then call a debtor feigning that "they have to clear the matter up today..." blah, blah...they are not hired by the creditor, nor retained by any law firm. They are simply scammers of the worst kind and you absolutely should not answer those calls, nor call them back, or respond in any way to these crooks. Do not let them intimidate you. As always the only "debt collection" agencies that you should pay attention to are those in writing that are your true legal obligations. Period. This "company", and I use that word with the utmost sarcasm, will no doubt soon be heavily fined and their doors closed by the appropriate authorities.

Got this message today.  The number on my caller id was 336-542-2918.

The message was as follows;

Yes this message is for Jennifer_______.  My name is Anthony and Im calling with Frontier Financial in conjunction with the law offices of Rovo and Associates.  Were giving you a call in a matter regards to a matter that demands your direct attention.  Its imperitive that you contact us today.  The number is 877-683-5486.  Your file number is ________.  And please be advised this is a documented attempt to contact you and is being time stamped and dated for today.Thank you.

Is this legit or the same scam?

these guys (frontier) left me messages saying that there was a civil suit against my county of residence, and made it sound like they wanted me to call them about my participating in the suit against the county.  however, when i called them, turns out they were VERY hardball collectors.  i acknowledged nothing, and hung up.  They are VERY hard ball.  i believe that they are finding old debts about to fall off the 7 year statue of limitations, and want to get you to acknowledge having had an old debt, which starts the 7 year time clock running again.  NEVER acknowledge ever having any debt if you don't want that time clock reset.

I recieved a phone call from an Anthony Amadeo claming to have knowledge of an internet loan debt that i had accrued over 2 years ago when i lived in a different state.....he tells me that he can settle my 678.00 debt for 460.00 dollars over the phone.  he pushed and pushed to get my banking information claiming that all he wanted was for this debt to "go away"..... he gave me a phone number that was supposed to be for the "attorney" Rory Vohwinkle, and when I called the number back all that I got was the "call center" that i spoke with anthony amadeo at.  I told him that I would not provide my banking information over the phone because that is how people get into trouble with their banks and their finances, and told him that I would put the 460.00 on a prepaid debit card and pay the next day.  on top of that i told this anthony person that I wanted information sent to me via email so that I could research the company.  It was very confusing to me that they had all of my current information like address and phone number, he said that he was emailing me several emails so that I could do my research and upon opening my email I only had ONE email, with no information about the "attorney"  representing this collection agency.  Every phone number that was suppose to be for the attorney only led me back to a call center.  I am glad that I have not given them any money yet, considering the reviews I have seen.

This number calls several times a day.

Again, the number is, 1(877) 683-5486. Thanks. I have no debts so I did not call back, I believe this is a scam. It really bother me, because it calls almost every day, sometimes two times in a day. Wonder how to stop or block that call ?

calls everyday and leaves a recorded message to call them back.  this is a business and frankly we are tired of getting this call several times a day, everyday

i get calls all the time from locals numbers that leave voicemails containing this number.
i am young and racked up a little bit of debt when i was 18. the debt has gone through several collection agencies. now people from "Frontier Financial Group" are calling me telling me that i need to contact them about a civil matter in *my county* with Robo (or Rovo) & Associates....i want to think this is a scare tactic used by collection agencies. but ive heard that people are being taken to court over these small debts. my debt is under $1,000. wouldnt their attorney fees MORE than my debt? what sense does that make? AGGH!! im freakin out. lol

I received a call from us financial group stating that I had a check in their office and they needed to confirm some information for security purposes, I thought it sounded weird my husband and I were not expecting a check from anywhere so I googled the company and found this I am sure it is a scam as well.

I got a call from this number last week and I got it again today, so 2 times.  The number that showed up on my cell phone had an area code that is used in my state, so today I decided to answer it and I kept saying "hello?, hello?, hello?" and no one said anything.  I could hear noise in the backgroud, but it wasn't voices or other people. So I hung up and before you know it, I have a voicemail.  So I listened to it and it was some guy named Steven (same guy from last week and he called again today) from Frontier Financial Group who works in conjuction with the Law Offices of Rovo and Associates.  They said there is a civil complaint implicated against me in my county and that I should get back to him, but he left a number of 1-877-683-5486 ext. 201 with a case number and that it's time sensitive.  Now why would he leave a number that is different than what showed up on my cell...let alone the area codes are different!!!!????  I never got a letter from the county saying they were filing any case against me...and not to mention this guy pronounced my last name wrong!!!!

From what I've read...It looks like they are a collection agency...OPERATING ILLEGALLY in Nevada!!!!!!

I received calls from this company on a daily basis, first I never heard of a debt company calling everyday, twice a day.  Secondly, I told Ms. Sonya (that's her name) I never heard of PDL Ventures and I don't owe them anything, but she appears to have all my personal information.  I'm getting frustated because my credit is excellent and I'm getting these calls that I owe, WTH.  Finally I asked Ms. Sonya to send me something for verification and she emailed me their website information stating I owe this amount, I asked this woman to send me documentation from the company I supposed to owe, NOTHING.  Now I'm going to do my research and STOP this madness, I'm tired of this.  I will not allow this scammers to ruin my CREDIT.

I received a call on my answering machine from Russell, he said he left several messages and that it was important for me to call him back as he wants to verify a file that I may or may not be associated with. With so many scams out there now a days I just don't trust these calls, nor do I have any reason
to call him back.
