- Kelly| 1 replyOSU Federal Credit Union- This is the call back number for the "Verified by Visa" verification process. When a larger purchase is made they call you at the phone number the credit union has on file for you, in case someone has stolen your card or information.
When you call them back they take you through a short automated system to verify the recent purchase on the account.- Caller: OSU Federal / Verified By Visa

- KMYes, it is real. I was able to stop some transactions but others were approved and I will have to fill out fraud paperwork to get my money back. OSU Federal was really on top and had sent a new card but not before the scam company accessed the account.

- Andrew replies to KellyIt is legit. I hung up too but called OS Credit Union next day and validated that they were
Responding to possible fraudulent use of my card. All okay. - claudiaI received two messages just a few minutes apart from this number. After checking my account online and not finding any unauthorized charges, I called OSU FCU/Oregon State Credit Union directly. They told me that there had been three attempts to access my Visa card in New York and D.C. -- definitely not authorized by me. All three charges were declined, which is why they didn't show up in my online account. They canceled my card and will be sending me a new one.
The woman I spoke with confirmed that the credit union does employ a company with an 877 number for fraud prevention, though she did not have the full phone number off the top of her head to verify. I did not have to call that number back since the woman I spoke with at OSU was able to cancel my card and order me a new one. - CarolI received a "call" from this number through my email account (through Microsoft). It is the credit union fraud number, but the email is from someone with an oregonstate.edu email address. I have notified OSU and the credit union that it looks like someone is using a "real" number with an email for nefarious purposes - there is probably a virus on my computer now. I'll update as I find more information.

- DTThree calls, two last evening, one this morning. ID read TOLL FREE CALL. Let them go to answer machine. Went to Who Is and checked number and see it is OSU Fraud Prevention. Call ID should come up as such. However, in future I will double check with OSU itself first to check validity before calling back.
