I think this are collectors, they left a message for me to contact them with a file reference number .   I had also a little bump to bump verily touching the other's driver car.   The driver claimed 2600 to her insurance and they expect me to pay for it when I did not create this incident.   She pass from the fast line and verily making it through on my line and stooping in front of me even without a turn signal on to get me touch her bumper without a scratch.   I told my insurance that I do not want them to pay a penny, but they are calling at all times.

Apparently Farmers Insurance group contracts with this collection agency:

    CCS- Credit Collection Services
    P.O. Box 773
    Needham, MA 02494
    877-573-2067

    http://www.creditmagic.org/collection/ccs.html

Credit Collection Services (CCS) of Newton, Mass., announced entering into a multi-year agreement with Farmers to provide subrogation recovery services.

    http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-99386563.html

I was involved in an accident with a Farmers' insured. Although some pedestrians bolted into the street & caused the accident, I was deemed at fault for rear-ending. Nearly 3 months after the accident, I received my first notice of payment - not from Farmers, but from the Credit Collection Services for 2/3 or more the cost of a new model of the insured's car. Her car had minor cosmetic damages & she drove away from the accident. I have requested an itemized account of what I am expected to pay and have been told by Farmers insurance that they do not have the information, rather Credit Collection Services does. C.C.S. tells me the opposite - that Farmers has the information. Clearly there is dishonesty involved from Farmers, considering they had to send an amount to Collections. I am amazed at the lack of integrity from each representative I have spoken with - including Adjustors & Supervisors. Rather than being straight-forward and contacting me about what I owe & why, they play dirty & threaten me with Collections, without any explanation.

Today February 27, we received a phone call from 877-690-6000, stating that we had owed money for an insurance  claim in the amount of over $2, 000.00.
When I told her that our work schedule for the date of January 17, confirmed  that we did not work that day, were never in the area, and that we were never informed  about this matter.  I asked her where they sent the letter of  complaint  and she had an entirely different address.  I was told  that I had to  prove that we were  not the company she was looking for, so I asked her to please send me information with the address I just gave her.  She refused to fax  or send any information  to me, telling  me they already sent it out, even though she new that was not our address.  She also refused to note that I gave her my address and that she had the incorrect address. She had no name, no vehicle information, only a company name J & D Excavation, which is not our name.  It is J & D Excavation Inc. in Shirley NY.  Big difference.

I ask you what kind of a scam is this????????   How are you running your business ????
I expect an answer back by Monday March 1. or I will file a  complaint with every agency I can against your company.  I have no file number  or any other information ,  She told  me they will continue with this  complaint and hung up.

I found your e-address through a post on a web site.  See notes below.

I will not give out anymore information on J& D Excavation  Inc., so you can contact  me at this e-mail address forsythejune@aol.com.

I just got a call from 1877-690-6000, stating I owed more than $10,000 to them!! I was involve in an accident where I was without insurance (yes, I was stupid enough thinking driving maybe one day without it is ok) I was in far left fast lane and an huge construction cone, right smack in the middle of the lane caused the car in front of me to loose bit of control which lead me to edged into the lane next to me and so on and so forth.  However, the car (who is sending collectors to me) was ENTERING the highway on a ramp was somehow hit by a taxi and now I dont know how is it my fault when I was like 3 lanes away.  I was told that because I'm the one who dont have insurance, so all the responsibilities is going to be on me.  That is one of the stupidest reason ever, and that's all the reason that the woman gave me.  I'm clueless on how to defend on my part.

    LITIGATION SPECIALIST replies to EveS.
Of course they will assess 100% of the blame to you, unless a police report stated otherwise.
Who do you have to state your case? your adjuster? your ins. co's lawyers? I think not.

You have two choices if you don't want your credit affected:

    1. Pay the fine

    2. Try to battle it out with/without an attorney in court at your expense.

There are no other options unless the case goes to small claims court, but the value appears to exceed this.

These people are scam artists. They all day and night all day. They are claiming we owe over $2000 for a sunroof they say a client of theirs had damaged two years ago. We have never heard of this customer, never worked on their vehicle. We informed this company that they are out of line ane incorrect. They say, "their investigation from 2011 decided that you are the responsible party". Ridiculous. 1) Their harrassment person called and asked for a department here that doesn't exist 2) They gave the incorrect nane of my business 3) They gave a name of a customer that we have never seen or heard of 4) They gave no unit number of the business - for all I know they are calling all 20 units threatening them as well. IGNORE THEM.

They call about every 3 or 4 days.  Right at 6 PM give or take (robo call system obviously).  Never leave a message.  Haven't had any accident or anything else along the avenue as above (last time I was in an accident was 1998, and I was rear ended on the interstate, and it wasn't even my car).   Sounds like a scam to me.  If someone can get their address, or the state they are in, it can be reported to the State AG.  You can also report it to your state AG as a scam.  You can also have an automatic call recorder on you cell phone, so you can record the conversation (like I have) and then convert it to a file and sent that in with the complaint.  Love the call recording part.  Hard to deny what they say when it is being recorded.

If you tell them not to call anymore, and you have proof, the calls must stop IAW many state laws.  They definitely should be reported to your State AG, and the Mass AG.

You could file against them in small claims court, and get a judgement against them.  That usually takes the spring out of their britches.

I was wondering if there might be a stalking charge there someplace that would fit?  If they get really nasty on the phone and you can record it, and I am talking they go way overboard and threaten you, you could have a case for making a terrorist threat.

I once had a scammer tell me they knew where I lived and were headed to come see me and settle this score once and for all.  To bad they had the wrong address (3 states away).

I forgot to mention the instances in Maine.  Collection company was calling Maine residents and harassing them and threatening them.  The residents were able to record a bunch of the calls and reported them to the Maine AG.  The Maine AG brought suit in court.  Well, the collection company was not licensed in Maine to do business.  It actually shook out that they were fined heavily for the violations, forbidden to do business in Maine, ever.  And then the people that reported them filed suit in court and got a pretty good judgement out of it also.  Then the Feds stepped in and started their investigation.  The people in charge of the collection company were forbidden from engaging in the collection business for 10 years and ended up with over a Million dollars in fines.

    I received a call from 8776906000
Stating I was in a accident last year which I was but from my understanding everything had been taken care of thru the insurance companies. CCS Is stating I owe them 12000$ but when I spoke to the person who I was involved in the accident with he states he has no idea of the company. Is this place a scam?
