my phone has been on a no call list over 2 years.  Yet I get text msg from this number "you have applied for $200 gas card"  NOT!!! And I don't give out my cell # to anyone other than family and a few friends. And I don't use it to call any company!

I got a call at same time from 877 695 1617 I ll bet a related number.

First question they asked was name. They followed a script an hung up on me when I asked questions before giving my name.
I never gave my name. Fillipino caller thick accent.

Go to US government Do Not Call registry and fill out the form if you get this text messages and you are enrolled in DNC registry.  They need the exact time and message.  They fine them heavily if you are on the do not call list and you get these.   The only government office that I have actually been impressed by...

This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, secure handling, service, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. I received a text message to call 877-695-1619 re: $200 gas card.  I called the number to have my phone number removed from their list and was disconnected (or so I thought).  I called back and the representative hung up on me.  My phone number is registered on 'Do Not Call' lists and yet I get text messages for which I am charged by my phone company.  What do we have to do to not get these texts?

I got the same message "You have been chosen to receive a $200 Gas Card!" it gives me the number and says to TXT back STOP to STOP . I txt "STOP" and received the message "You have successfully unsubscribed from Cash Rewards Mobile Offerings alerts. For more info, please contact us at: support@1sms.com.

Hope they don't have me on other lists now.

Yep, same thing for me. Complete scam.

I would not "TXT back STOP to STOP" A lot of time this is used to confirm that the cell number is a working number and then your number is added to list of cell numbers and sold to other spammers / telemarketers.

The best thing to do is to report this number at https://www.donotcall.gov/

I just filed a complaint. For some of us, texts cost money and I'm not paying to be scammed. Person is right above - alot of times, replying 'stop" is a way to confirm your existence...

I am a DNC list for my cell and don't give cell # to anyone except family.

yeah, this is BS   877-695-1619--received a text too..I think 'll call my carrier and ask why this has been happening continually and drop service if they can't give me an answer or if they can't stop it--I filed complaint , I am on the DNC list--and this crap keeps happening...

I just received 12 text messages in 12 minutes from this same number regarding a free $200 gas card.  Called the number to complain (I do not have unlimited texting and don't want their calls)... they hung up on me.  I filed a complaint on DNC Registery as my number has been on the list since 2007!  My phone company is Verizon... could this be a Verizon issue?  Very annoying!

Received 10 text messages from them. Called them to get info on who they are. SCAM ALERT! This company claims to be Century Rewards in Phoenix, Arizona. There is no such company. They are only trying to get your credit card info. They asked for an address where they can send my $200 gas card so I gave them a ficticious address using the name of a street I knew they would have to ask how to spell...never asked how to spell and could tell was not taking the info down. Was very eager to get my credit card info. Do not give any information to this company!

Just got the same text.  I registered with DNC a while back... as in years.  I didn't know we had to renew it ... do we?  Anyway, went there are re-registered home & cell numbers.

Just got a message saying I was chosen to receive a free $200 Gas Card. Identified as 512-97. Callback number 877-695-1619. Thanks for the Update!
