When I called, they say something like: blabla «Global tech», press 1 to...

called August 26 and 27 at exactly 18 hours 09 minutes. Québec City
blah...blah...blah...Global Tech...

I called 877-697-5766 at 23h45 EST tonight, Aug 27, from Quebec City
A computer answered:
"Vous avez obtenu Global Tech. Appuyez sur le "1" pour parler avec un de nos agents."
I did not press "1". I hung up.

Même chose pour moi, il appel trop souvent, comment les arretés.

This number calls numerous times in a day.  Called the # back and it is french and says press '1'.  I just hung up.  When you do answer the phone it is just silence.  When I googled Global Tech, it says something about India???  Today they have called here at 10:58am, 11:45am, and 1:47pm...and we're only halfway through the day!  Rather annoying!  At least if someone would answer when I pick up, I could tell them no thank-you for whatever they're offering.

this number just call me and yeah,,thank you for waking me up...if this # did not phone i would have been late at work,,,haha....

I just got a call from this number asking who I will be voting for, and then to select 1, 2, 3,
I hung up and called back the number and a French man's voice says the company is Globaltech and to push #1 to speak to an agent. When I push #1 the same voice comes on telling me in French that all the agents are busy and to leave a message

I did not answer because I never answer to unknown an unwanted calls. The message is a silence.... Annoying.

This number is a Sears Canada number. They are wondering if you want to extend
the warranty of a product you bought that has its original warranty running ...

Got a call from them tonight during dinner and yesterday also during dinner.

Its a french speaking dialer asking me for my voting intentions for the upcoming Quebec's elections.

I pressed "0" to talk to a human but the machine told me it was the wrong answer...

I don't understand why companies keep calling my number. EVERY times I get a call from telemarketers or from pollsters, I mess with them by loosing their time (and mine of course) or by answering stupid stuff. It seems they don't keep track of "bad" prospects.

Its either that they are REALLY stupid or that BIG money is involved.

If its the later, then people should complaint to their customers - the ones who are paying for this telephone [***].

They`ve been calling my number numerous times and no ones at the other end... Very annoying.... They even call after 9pm... Not sure how to stop them from calling a few times a day everyday....

Same thing here. Stupid survey about election that won't happen for years. Today is 2009-04-25. They called yesterday and today. When you call this number back, you get a moron who can't speak french (he sound like he's been raised by a lumberjack). There's a possibility to leave a message, but do you really think that someone will listen to it ? I'm sure not. This company doesn't seem to exist on the internet. They don't have a website, and a reverse lookup doesn't work. SO FRUSTRATING !!!

Même chose pour moi. Sondage innocent sur les élections alors que la prochaine élection est dans quelques années. Ils m'ont appelé hier et aujourd'hui (nous sommes le 25 avril 2009). Quand on appelle à ce numéro, on tombe sur un message enregistré par un gars qui sait même pas parler français (un vrai colon). On peut laisser un message, mais sérieusement, pensez-vous vraiment que quelqu'un va l'écouter ? La compagnie ne semble pas exister sur internet ou dans les pages jaunes. Une recherche inversée par numéro de téléphone ne donne aucun résultat. EXTRÈMEMENT FRUSTRANT !!!

A click in place of voicemail -- call back revealed "Global Tech" en francais!  Now blocked.

Who is this caller ? Stupid caller. I don't answer of course.  After 8:00 pm !!

Just got a call from 877-697-5766. telemarketers are the scum of the earth. 9:15 at night to find out who I am voting for.  Gloaltech is based in BC. here is some contact info. Don't know if it is the corrt place, but they do telemarketing, that's good enough for me to hate the idiots.
