Anyone been contacted from this number, company name is Relief Council

I recived a post card  from them that says "notice of HUD rights" and that they've been trying to reach me to qualify for time limited stimulus programs.  In fine print: private company unaffiliated with HUD or any governement agency.  There are a ton of approved agencies on the HUD website to help homeowners in crisis, so....

Don't call these scammers. Note how the card wants to deceive you into thinking they're a government agency?

OMG!!! I spoke with an individual..... now I nervous I gave him my number and he will call tomorrow.

I also received the postcard (NO CALL) which by  the way is postmarked out of Glendale, CA. A clear indicator of some 3rd party company trying for reach in anyones pocket book that is foolish enough to call.

My mortgage has never needed some government bailout BS program so they just mail these out randomly to  get a few poor suckers that seriously need help to steal from them.

I got one too. Took me a while to research them and find out they are not from actual HUD (forgot to read the fine print). Anyway it is a scam and run from it. Thank GOD I found out myself in time.

They also contacted me and said what they could  for $9,000

If you read the fine print, it says they ARE NOT affiliated with a government agency.  OMG I spoke with a guy yesterday...I called the number back "Derek" that he gave me 323-456-1912 an left a message to disregard any info.!  He was supposed to call me today at 3p.m. I don't think they are legitimate.

OOPS! sorry peoples, In my last post I meant to say "...they are NOT legitimate!  believe they are a scam.(sorry for the typo!)

Please don't assume some of us a "poor suckers" I happen to not be a "poor suckers" and some people do fall into hard times and are hard working, law abiding citizens.  Even though I called I did so with healthy scepticism and actually I am glad I did because I now posted this "Derek's" phone number he gave me and perhaps it can help in tracking down the scammers.  The postcard I received did have a number on it  877-700-5557 and the person I spoke with gave me his number 323-456-1912.  What I found rather interesting is that the last four digits of the 877 number i.e., (5557) is the same numbers in the REAL government program only transposed the gov't number ends with (7555). I believe another trick to the eye type of maneuver.

We are not a scam. I have personally assisted over 100 homeowners and can prove it. I do not appreciate false accusations.

If this person would READ the bottom of the card, they will clearly read that the qualification intake department is not a government agency.

Also the Qualification Intake department  is an advocate of promoting equal housing opportunity.The logo on the card is CLEARLY the Equal Housing Opportunity logo, and NOT the HUD logo. Equal housing opportunity administers enforces establishes policies that make sure all Americans have equal access to the housing of their choice. We assist to make sure you are informed of this equal opportunity and the rights that are made available to you.

So before this "neveragain" individual makes accusations, they should take the time to READ the card they are calling off of, and if they were to LISTEN to what I say when i speak they will know we are NOT HUD and NEVER have claimed to be HUD or a governmental agency.

And again this "neveragain" says read the fine print....well phantom "neveragain" we know we are not a government agency...that is why we say we aren't on the card. If you wanted to speak with a governmental agency then by all means...call one. If you had asked me directly for a governmental agency contact...that would have been provided.

But no...instead you call in without reading the card. You make false claims against myself and the organization I work for because YOU are ignorant.

Since this person has already put my number down I welcome any further calls to discuss this.

This company is not a scam. I have done my research and they are legitimate and not in violation of any state or federal laws.

Yes I have. they assisted me in a free qualification. They let me know what type of payment i should expect, and told me i should have no problem getting qualified directly with my lender

How is this company a scam? I called and they got me in touch with Operation Hope which is now helping me modify my loan. Without their free education and advice i would have not known what to do-

I am a poor sucker. my wife left me, my son passed away, and my daughter has an incurable disease. I called this number because it was my only hope. 2 years my bank did not help me. So i listen to them, out of desperation i did what they said. Not only are they legitamate, they saved my home, i can afford to stay here and i FINALLY can focus on work and my daughter. I have never spoken to anyone named derek, but this company truly saved my home and family.

do you know anything about these guys? Seems like mixed reviews
