This Number 877-704-9452 called my home asking for someone in my family.. this is the information i got. CRA is the name of the compnay i aksed if they are a inc. or a collection company they wouldn't tell me. but there is a supervisor so they say name Casey Masters. Her ext is 2218 .

I think that it is a scam. It seems like they are trying to get bank info over the phone.  They called me too, but when I asked to speak to the supervisor, she said her name was Christine, she refused to give me a last name, and would not give me the business address.

Received call and the very business like lady said it was imperative I call and gave me a file # "which I might not be aware of."  Not going to call back. Will see how often they call...

someone from this number called my older brother's house. i'm really pissed off now. i hope and pray they never call him again,or someone will be in huge trouble.

Received weird call this morning and asking for my husband, he sounds very firm and said that my husband need to fill out something. He gave the phone # to call him back.  I am very curious that's why I went online and check What is CRA all about. I did not find about CRA that relate to the call.

I don't want this guy to call back.

I got a call from them last month for a debt I opened 10 years ago. They said something about the IRS and some other stuff. At the time I thought it was just a bill collector making threats so I hung up on them. Yesterday I got a 1099c for the credit card they called for. I call my brother who is an accountant and found out they wrote of the debt and now I have to pay taxes on it. I tried to call them back and pay the bill but they said it was too late now. Wish I would have listened to what they said the first time.

Called me for the second time insisting that they needed to talk to a family member about an urgent emergency situation, but were using her maiden name (she's been married nearly 7 years).

Refused to give any information to me, but kept pressing for her work number and any and all other numbers I may have for her.  This time I just hung up on them.

Not that you shouldn't pay a debt if it's real, but the tax on the amount of the debt would be substantially less than the debt itself.

Got a call today from CRA asking for my husband, said they need to speak with him regarding paperwork that was going to be released and he might not be aware of the case.  Made it sound really important, but if it is that important why don't they have his phone number...weird, we won't be calling back

Received a call from this number today saying that it was imperative that it is imperative that I call back or have my representative call them.  It was regarding an account number that I do not have. These people are scammers that need to get a real job.

bullcrap these big time companies are not gonna issue a 1099c first off the cosumer has to fill out the 1099c. lol what a load.

I just got a call from CRA - Nancy Henry - Asking to speak to me. Of Course I said I wasn't home. She said the matter was extreme important and I might not aware of the situation.This lady sounded very firm but would not release any other information.
At first I was concerned. But I realized that the number they called was a Cell phone and IT'S in my wife's name. I ask her to send information certified mail so that she could make sure I got the information. She refused and said the call was a one time only thing.

I then asked "So We shouldn't expect any further calls?" She just replied that it's important I call them back. Fat chance lady!!!!  

The call came from: 864-845-2084 a SC land line.

Got a call from CRA my family said i wasn't home a lady named Jennifer (Rude ) said i needed to call back with in one hour and it was urgent matter but wouldn't say what. won't be calling back now.this is about the 5-6th time they  called . they called from one # but left a different call back #

They call from (864) 845-2084 which is a land line in Piedmont SC. But leave the 877 # to call back.

By law they need to provide you written information and if they can not or refuse - they are breaking the law.

Its Consumer Recover Associates.  They are out of Virgnia Beach. Its zombie debt.

Got the same message today and then read up on the net here just who the heck they are.  I called back and told to place on 'do not call list'.  Funny how I got this message thinking something horrible is happening.   Sounds like a scam.   Thanks for your post.

CRA called the Company I work for and asked for my husband who does not work here.   It was transfered to me and they said they were looking for Harold, gave me the last 4 numbers of his SSN and said they had to talk to him immediately,  Also had our address. I asked how they got my work number if they were looking for my husband, they said they had alot of information and it was concerning something my husband needed to know and could I get a hold of him within the hour. I asked what it was about and Ms. Bramblett said she had no idea she was just the representative trying to get in touch with Harold, the information was in a file with her supervisor.  Harold has great credit, heck we don't have a problem in that area!

I recvd a message from this number , called back ...asked for statements or something i signed for...supposily an account in 1999!!!! I spoke to one man which was rude and hung up on me, then a lady which was rude, said I will pay taxes, or I can make arrangements to pay. I said how am I gonna make arrangements to pay for something I dont know about...and 11yrs ago ....lol  yeah ....

Just got a message from CRA on my cell phone for my husband, They gave a "case number" and said it was improtant he call back today. I think this is a scam.
