Just had a call left on the recorder for someone I don't know. The person leaving the message was hard to understand so I don't know the name of the person leaving the message and after listening to it several times couldn't understand what she was saying when she identified the company she was with.
After doing this number search and reading "Christy's" post I went back and listened again and it was from CRA.   Glad for this site, I can delete the message and not worry that someone is missing anything important.

Also received call from this number and it was not for myself, but for someone I know. Message was very hard to hear and understand and had a lot of static. Don't plan to call them back b/c something seemed strange about the call.

We also received a phone call from this phone number, we were told they were collecting on a debt from 9 years ago from Cash for checks, told us we owed $503 but they would settle for $250, we stated by California law any debt older then 6 years is dismissed under the statute of limitations for debt collection....they got very irrate & said we have one hour to pay the debt.  My husband asked them to provide us proof of the debt & asked to speak to a supervisor; they refused to transfer us, spoke over us, were very rude & we eventually hung up on them.  We called back & asked to speak to a supervisor, which we were told during both phone calls that we were speaking to the supervisor; they told us they were going to report the $$ to the IRS as unreported income & to not contact them again & they hung up on us.  First of all; we are NOT going to give you $$ over the phone just cuz you say we owe you. Secondly, if you can't provide us proof of the debt we are not going to give you any money. The whole phone call just seemed fishy so we did some research on-line & came accross this; glad we did not fall for it!!

"Tim&Adrienne" it hasnt been any longer than 30 minutes ago that My wife and I went through this exact same thing. They called saying we owed 400 + dollars for something from 5 years ago. we called the bank and they said they did not have a record either way of us paying or not paying the account. I called them back and simply asked them to send me a bill and I would gladly pay it with a money order. They told me in a very rude tone, we do not send bills. I told them in an equally rude tone I dont do checks by phone, I laughing told them it might bounce and that I would have a debt collections agency on my case. they told me then they would reflect that I did not agree to pay, I told them it was not on my credit report, the bank had no record and they dont want to send a bill.....then stick it. they hung up on me and I consider this matter closed. I am starting to think these people are scammers.

i got a call from them to it seemslike they are trying to hustle money from people saying they own old debts that you have incurred. Its some kinda scam report their [***]

They called for my brother and he's only 17, but he had his identity stolen.

If you get a call from these people, call the Federal Trade Commission ASAP at 877-382-4357.
This company appears to be attempting identity theft and fraud.

I keep receiving calls from the same number on a daily base. The person calling is very aggressive stating this is a very important matter and they are not sure if i was aware of the issue. Im not intimidated but annoyed that someone would go through such measures to scam another. "Suggestion for others" If you cant get it in writing dont be bothered.

i know how you feel i just had the same call and they was very rude to me but they hung up on me and they are telling me that they will report me to the irs for something that happened 4 years ago and where i am from you cant collect after 3 years  but what i would like to know is how they got my phone number in the first place and then they told me in the message that for myself or who ever is representing  me to contact them right away

Had a call from the same number and a Mrs. Merril left a message for someone I've never heard of, asking that they or the person that represents them call back immediately. I've had the same number for nearly 14 years, so it's odd that they'd be calling me. I'm reporting them to the BBB and if they call again, I'll report them to fraud agencies.

Dec. 2011, I received a call from a Michelle DeSilva who claimed to be a supervisor of CRA. Stating I owe $477.50 for a check-n-go non-repayment of a pay advance loan that occurred in 2004. They would settle for $300. I told them I would like to pay it in full but I will not give my bank info over the phone. I asked that they send me a demand statement that stated the debt owed and this new agreement. They refused and said there was no other option. That I must do it this way. I said have a good day and hung-up. This might be a legit debt. I had a drug/alcohol problem many years ago. I did a lot of things I am not proud of. I am in recovery and clean and sober since 2005. I have been paying back other related debts as they come up. I am sure this is on my credit report. Making me think someone is running credit checks on people,grabbing old debts and then trying to scam people. You give someone your bank info they can drain your account.They offered a solution of a prepaid Visa from Walmart, try tracing that for proof of payment..

Received call from a Mr. Struthers advising me that it was important for me or who ever is reprsenting me to call him back. He did not identify which company he worked for or what the debt was for.

Got a hang up call from them yesterday and then they left a message this morning saying they needed "Makeeba" (not my name, I don't know any Makeeba) or who represents her, to call back their office asap.  I was planning to call back and say they had the wrong phone number for Makeeba, but I did not call back after reading these posts.

Had a call today from a Ms Sawyer at this number.  She was looking for an adult grandson of mine, who has never lived at this address.  Forwarded to his mother, in another state, who checked it out and read these posts.  She talked to Ms. Sawyer, who said my grandson owed $300 for a debt with a "quick loan" co. in 2006.  Grandson has no recollection of any such event.  Grandson (who by now has been called directly by these people), has been advised to ignore them for all the reasons the other posters have cited!  [Of course, all the relevant information on this debt is "confidential", and can't be discussed on the phone (but for $300 we'll quit bugging you all for a while)]

On 12-22-2010, I received a call from this number from an Alexis Griffin wanting to reach my wife.  Very vague about who they were or what they were collecting for.  When I pressed, they wanted my wife's SSN. I said I would not give it over the phone.  

I did call the FTC.  They were not too helpful on information on the number but I did register a complaint.

My mother was contacted by CRA rep Willie Mason, trying to locate my husband. They have called his cell in the past and they were very aggressive. When asked for a reference number and a date for when the account was opened, they became more aggitated, threatening and Ms. Mason ended our call. I report them but I feel like that was a waste of time and energy. Don't give these people a dime!

I just got a call from these people today. Apparently I was on the internet and it went straight to voicemail. Message was left by Molly saying she was from CRA and to contact her immediately regarding an important matter. Didn't want to call back til I did some research on this number. I'm reporting them to the FTC as well.

These people need to be stopped.Take 5 min. and  file a commplaint , cause these people are ripping us off they may not even be affiliated with the company that you owed. There scammers .....
