These people called for someone with a different name yesterday and left a message saying they were calling with some "important information". Sounds like one of those companies that buys written-off debt in an attempt to get money one no longer owes. I wouldn't trust it.

Claimed they were a collections agency named Preferred Recovery Services and called me about a loan we supposedly had but that we knew nothing about... they left this number as their call back... after a few days we called back and get either busy signal or "all circuits are busy" or "cannot complete the call"  .... pretty sure it was a scam so beware of this number and do not give out any personal information to them.

Got a call from this number to my moms house. Guy told her he was a friend of mine that wanted to refer me for a job and needed my cell phone number. Ended up being a collections agency called Preferred Recovery!! Deceptive practices much!?! Damn!!

THIS IS A SCAM!!!  REPORT! DOCUMENT!!  GET ALL TELEPHONE NUMBERS PERTAINING TO THIS CALL!!!  DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!!

Scammers are spoofing this telephone number to fish for suckers that believe their purpose for the call- The automated robo-dialer told me that it was the IRS and there were serious issues I needed to address or they were going to have local law enforcement arrest me. THAT IS NOT HOW THE IRS WORK!!! There are also other scams such as- You have a loan taken out in your name and it is defaulted upon. You need to pay us X amount of dollars or you will be sued (some even say -We will serve you with a restraining order! - Which 1. cannot be done with regards to debts and 2. Go ahead! Restrain me from contacting you!! Obviously these guys do not know what a restraining order is?.
