- Shelly| 1 replyCollect Corp is a debt collection agency.
- Call type: Debt collector
- MWThis is a debt collection agency that has used all kinds of subterfuge -- leaving messages that I should "retain legal counsel" on an "arbitration action", called my wife's office and left multiple messages per day, etc. Their latest was to call and awaken me at 10:20 PM on a weeknight. They always manage to mumble their names and organization, but are quite clear on their return phone number and anything some might find intimidating.

- Vinnie| 1 replyI have received 15 calls from this number. I have called them back three times to ask them to stop calling. They say they are asking for another person and asked how long I have had this number. They say they will stop calling but do not.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Lynn Holland-Kelley replies to VinnieThese idiots cannot even speak clear English. They call to the point of harassing all hours of the day and night looking for someone else. I tell them they are calling my business cell and to stop calling me. They are extremely rude. They will not stop calling. I hang up on them. HELP!!!!!!!!
- MondoCalls constantly and never leaves a message. Block #
- Caller: Collect Corp

- R b cdThey are calling my office number and have called several times just today, we keep telling them that the person they are trying to work doesn't work here and has never worked here. they continue to call and say that he is the owner of our organization.
What is up with that- Caller: wouldn't say
- howtureI definitely am behgind on payments and I understand collection agencies, but these people are RIDICULOUS! They are rude, inconsiderate, they LIE, then say.. it was a misunderstanding... maybe if you had CLEAR LINES, SPEAK ENGLISH, and Aren't an [***]... it would work..

- jay rCall and hang up at my offic and cell. at least25 times a day! have not talked to any one yet, but i will not answer any toll free numbers, it's my policy nor "private"
- Caller: none
- MOMI do not answer these calls, they never leave messages so it must not be legitimate!
- Bohica55This is about their mail, having it sent snail mail and being given a "48 Hour" notice that your file will be passed on if no response in that 2 day time frame. Getting mail across Canada in less than 3 or 4 days is a miracle with Canada Post. By the time the letter has arrived, the deadline has already passed on by. Now does this make sense to any rational person?? You just have to love the lack of rationality in this tactic.
- Caller: Canadacorp
- Call type: Debt collector
- bdThey are collections and leave a message ever so often. I find it weird that a foreign country is trying collect a debt on a American citizen. F them!
- Call type: Debt collector
- Hmmm?Never get a voice mail message - just caller ID that indicates repeated phone calls from this number. Odd - if they want something shouldn't they leave a message?
- Caller: Says "Name Unavailable"
- CHThey keep calling my job, leaving messages about an attempt to collect on a debt, but they never say who they're calling on behalf of!
- Caller: Collect Corp
- Call type: Debt collector
- Why are they calling?Call frequently, sometimes up to 8 times a day but no messages left on the machine.
- Caller: "Name Unavailable"
- unemployedengineerplease do some research regarding debtors rights. not sure if the rules governing debt are vastly different in canada as opposed to the us. still there is supposedly a statute of limitations on debt: they can only bother you for so long. secondly you can send a registered letter stipulating that phone calls must cease. supposedly their only recourse after that is to initiate a lawsuit... remember that collection agencies stand to make a tidy sum off whatever they collect from you. they buy debt for pennies on the dollar. you can choose to settle (sometimes for 20% of the original debt), you can choose to wait until the statue of limitations runs out, you can choose to file bankruptcy.. but never just give into to the collect agencies without a fight... the only downside to the lawsuit (if they win) is the inevitable freezing of bank accounts... something to plan for... good luck.. i am in the same boat as you..
- ZuckThey call repeatedly and have a detailed recording, but do not state the purpose of the call.
