Company refuses to send a bill. Who knew?  Doesn't take money orders or checks, only credit cards, with sending no documentation to me.  Yep, scam debt collectors.

Great advice posted by an attorney on:
    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-718-732-0174

"IF they do not provide you with the verification of the debt, the debt is invalid and not subject to collection.  PAY NOTHING TO ANYBODY UNLESS THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH WRITTEN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT, AND ONLY THEN IF YOU FEEL THE DEBT IS VALID - otherwise, let them sue you for the debt, as a real law firm will only bring a legal action on a truly valid debt".

Company leaves aggressive voice mail stating that an order was left at their office and that they need to verify an address to present a claim at home and work address.
Then states that you have been officially notified...

same thing wont give me an address and that pertaining to the matter they cant. when i call  this no. they say this is ACCURATE and nothing else. Says also that I have been officially notified and when asking for a letter of the debt they will not send.  I asked address several times to send a letter and the guy Greg says I see your getting upset but I cant give you the address, and then hangs up.  How do we find out the companys name.  I have been searching the internet but no luck. Any suggestions?

I got a call from someone, they gave me this number to call soo i did... they helped me set up a payment plan for a best buy card that i got when I was 18, that I defaulted on years ago. I have been trying to figure out how to pay it for a while now... But Best buy said i had defaulted and there was nothing that I could do. I just wanted to get it off my credit report to help my credit score... Then when they called I got it all figured out, and I was elated about the situation. Just glad to pay MY debts i guess... Other people on here seem like they just take money and expect not to pay it back.

They called me 2 times today to let me know that my father in law "had been served" and if he wanted to prevent further charges, he had to call back immediately. When I pressed the 877 number for information, they were evasive and apologetic for their "local representative's" actions. This is a scam and should be stopped immediately.

It's not that people don't want to repay their debt.  You are entitled to certain things, like a Debt Validation Letter, an address for which to reach these scum bags.  You may have paid off your old debt to a scammer.  NEVER EVER pay for anything over the phone without someone in your hand.
