- CS| 5 repliesI received a call at WORK today from this 877-733-5734 number. The person on the other end of the phone left a message with that number and said her name was "Betty". The secretary who took the call asked the woman for a last name and all she gave in reply was that I would know who she was. I did a reverse lookup to see who this was (because I don't know anyone named Betty), and I ended up at this site. I do have a card at BOA, but don't I have the right to tell them not to call me at work?
- card holder| 6 repliesI've been getting calls from various people at "Card Services" about business I have had with their company since 2006 and some products that they think I might be interested in. I thought that companies had to identify themselves?

- annoyedThe call ID showed "unknown". The girl left a message for "Samuel", saying that she is from "Card Services", asking me to call 1-877-733-5734.
It looks like that this "Samuel" gave my phone # as his phone #? I guess in this case the "Do not call" list does not apply here since this "Samuel" does have business with them. But they should not call the number after they were told that this number does not belong to "Samuel". What if this "Samuel" gave out the White House's number as his number? Will they keep callling as well after Mr. Bush told them that he is not "Sam" and this number belongs to Mr. Bush? Jesus. - jimThey called at work today saying they were credit card services. He said his name was Norman and it was about my credit card. When I returned the
call they asked for my mother's maiden name and last digits of social security number to further identify me. When I refused they hung up. - Nan| 2 repliesFor a couple weeks, during the day and weekends, if we were home, our caller ID showed calls from "Card Services" and the phone number of
877-733-5734. One of their calls woke me up on a Satuday morning and the woman who gave her name as "Nicole" asked for my husband by his first name. She said she was calling from his "bank" and gave a callback number of
602-497-4625. No other message was left. from looking at others responses to this blog, it must be Bank of America calling, but I think this is ridiculous. They never leave a voicemail, just keep calling.- Caller: Bank of America
- beyon annoyed| 1 replythese people keep calling my house looking for a person that once used my home phone to call them (BofA). Now they will not stop calling looking for them. I've informed them that this person does not live here, never did live here and to stop calling. According to Fair Debt Collection from the FTC they are only suppose to call a third party once to try to acquire contact info for a person. They have been calling me since December, and now the calls are coming every day. If they don't stop I will have to file a report with the FTC and the attorney general in Maine. BTW this number is from Maine.

- N/A| 2 repliesAfter researching FIA Card Services is actually a 1st party debt collector, this meaning that the credit card debt is owed directly to the consumer that agreed to the terms and conditions of their credit card. One of the things about being a 1st party collections agency is they do not have to abide by FDCPA which is only for 3rd party collections agencies. The best solution is to talk to them and don't be afraid to tell them that you may be having financial difficulties they are there to assist you not to bleed you of your money; remember this is money that was loaned to you for a reason; maybe you wanted that nintendo wii or PS3 or even that incredible cooshy sofa or maybe even for school. If a brother or sister loaned you the money or parents i'm sure you would pay them back... If you advise them to not call you at work they will in most cases not contact you at work as long as you are returning there calls and updating them. I for one was in a predicament at a time and they gave me a program that made me do a few backflips. If you are seriously in some deep debt ask them if they have programs or ask how they may assist you they are not trying to sell anything to you. They ask for the maiden name and last 4 of ssn, I'm sure everyone doesn't just tell random strangers they meet on the street this info, this is a way to ID somebody to verify they are indeed the right person that they should be talking to.

- Chris replies to SARAHIf the person on the phone did not act like it was a scam and offer more information when asked maybe all these people on there would not be as suspicious. When they called my office, the person on the phone was not offering any information about what the call was regarding and I felt it was a scam. I hung up immediately.
So if you work for this company, maybe you should relay this information to them! - Nikki| 1 replyIf the person on the phone did not act like it was a scam and offer more information when asked maybe all these people on there would not be as suspicious. So if you work for this company, maybe you should relay this information to them! - ConfusedHad a voice mail message for Mr. or Mrs. ______ to call the number 877-733-5734; stating the hours they are open and stressing that it was not a sales call. Call ended with it is imperative that you return the call. I returned the call and the said they were card services and indicated they were call about a Bank of America Visa or Mastercard. She wanted me to give her the phone number I was calling from to look it up. I refused. I informed her we have no joint accounts; and I don't bank or have a credit card with Bank of America. I told her if she couldn't give me more information the please don't bother me at work again. I work for a huge company and somehow they called my direct line. She indicated that someone would just call me back. Who are these people?

- FredI got several messages to call 1-800-533-0231. When I called, the lady said that my account has been transferred to 1-877-733-5734. I asked for more information and that is all she told me. I then called 1-877-733-5734 and the person asked for my last 4 digits of SS#. When I told him that I would not give that until I know what this is regarding to, he said "have a good day" and hung up.
THIS SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM. I called BofA and they told me that there are no notes on my accounts, so they don't know why anybody would call. They told me to ignore it.
If this is a real operation, they could at least give the last four digits of the credit card they are calling about.- Caller: FIA Card Services
