Caller claims she has "sealed legal documents" that have to be delivered to me TODAY (said the same thing yesterday) and I need to reach the plaintiff.  Caller claims to be Cathy at Processing Solutions

I keep getting the same call. Michael is calling my co-workers and giving them personal information such as I need to call the plantiff and what the docut number is etc. First of all I don't owe anyone anything. If I did the would send the papers to me or serve them to my home or busines. Second, I don't believe it is legal to discuss this information with co-workers or any 3rd party. The person calling is from Process Solutions and his name is Michael at 877-750-9240. I am reporting him to the Attorney General and the FTC.

They are listed under the number 877-750-9240 as Lincoln Park Asset Recovery, LLC. Looks like this would be the company to lodge the complaint against.

You might want to pay your bills instead of having people calling you to remind you about loans you took out and then proceeded to bouce checks with.....

You sound like one of these bottom feeding "debt" collectors... You may want to follow federal law instead of calling people illegally.

I think that the people on this blog are complaining but they are neglecting to tell that they owe these companies money that they STOLE under falsification of records........if someone stole anybodies money on this post , you would want it back and you have a legal right to recover it......

You didnt call the Attorney general when they gave you the money and you spent it for whatever you used it for , and  then didnt pay it back and have the nerve not to want to pay it back....., so dont call now.

Grow up pay your bills and stop heckling folks foe wanting what is owed to them.....looks like half of you are the ones illegal

Difference between debt collecting and asset recovery.....if someone borrowed money from you I am sure you would want it return...especially after a year or more....

Which is fine as long as you follow all laws in regards to attempting to collect.... which your kind mostly does not do.

From what I read , I think these people would not want to repay period, rules, or not. They sound embarrassed to be exposed as deadbeats to me. I am a businessperson who works recovery and it is a hard job. To be hated because of the job we are forced to do isn't a good benefit from the job , but someone has to do it. People don't pay and I guess they think the creditor is giving out free money

More like being mad at the cop who pulls you over, cracks your tail light lens with his night stick, and then writes you a ticket for it.

Again, it's all fine as long as the collector follows the law.

NO......I am not. Are you the rest of these people ????? I just made statements like you did. There are always two sides to a story. Everybody does not have to be a debt collector basher. Those folks have to make a living , and again who can prove that these people are 100%  honest? We didnt't hear the call!

And they obviously have been stealing from somebody or they wouldnt be getting calls......I know I dont get these kinds of calls!!!!! (LOL :)

"I" get these kind of calls because of a recycled phone number, "I" do not owe a thing.
The "collector" calling in most cases was not following federal regulations and when confronted with that fact they would lie and backpedal, then sell or pass off the phone number to the next "collector".

So yes, I have heard the calls.

My original reply was to Starfish, as it seems that he/she is one of those types of "collectors". If you are not one of those, then all is fine. Do well and have a successful career.

I agree if you owe it pay it. I have one of these payday loans due to medical reasons and want to pay. But after they broke the FDCPA , by giving out third party information I now refuse to pay the debt until it is sold and so will I $1000.

People go through rough times and as a director of operations for a national collection agency, I know the FDCPA. To bad you screwed with the wrong person this time. I wanted to pay this debt from a few years ago, but did not know who had it since it is on its third or quad agency being sold to.

I myself buy debt all the time, if you want to buy some of mine respond back to me on here.

it is a direct violation of the fdcpa the colllector and company face up to a 2000.00 fine per violation allow them to leave messages as you can collect form them for each violation voth from the collector  nand the company

They broke the law when they applied a law suit

I recieved the paperwork and it was a sealed envelope with the documentation, they stopped calling after I made a payment.

Here is the bottom line: When you owe, you pay whether or not you fall on hard times. I am a firm believer of this. HOWEVER, I am just as firm a believer about companies following the letter of the law.  Whether or not someone owes you, if you DON"T follow the letter of the law in your pursuit to collect you may be owing them more than the debt you are attempting to collect and find yourself in deep trouble with the government in the process. As a company you just better hope you don't get a savvy person like me on the other side of the call. You will find yourself out of a job quick once I am finish with the company you work for.  I don't tolerate any debt collecting calls or soliciation calls.  

There is no justifiable reason for any company to disregard the law in their pursuit to collect a debt. The law backs this up. There are several ways you can STOP those calls immediately.  Just email me and I will tell you how.  It takes one recorded phone call,  two phone calls to two separate government agencies and $3 worth of stamps to mail the recorded tape to the government agencies.  When the government gets done with the company trust me they won't be calling you again.  And probably the person who called won't be working for the company anymore.  The two agencies are swift in their response. Don't be afraid of these companies just get knowledgeable about your rights.  Stand firm on your convictions!

This company is a collection agency who uses the sealed doc story as a means of collection. There ARE NO SERVERS....wheb you get a call hang up and DO NOT PAY THEM SO THEY WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS...................

.They are a dishonest and shady company who has bought a bunch of old debts that have not been collected and thino they can collect on them. Some of the debts are as old as 2008 that should have been written off. They purchase the debt and harass the individual for payment.
