Duke Energy calling to ask people to enroll in a "Bill Credit" Program to help conserve energy by putting a switch outside near your AC unit.  Call 18773924848 for more info.

SCAM!!!!

Duke Energy sent out an email to all customers saying that the people calling are not associated with Duke energy and to not give them ANY information.

I saw an e-mail come out from Duke (thank god) about this....I just got a weird call and immediately was uncomfortable.  something about some switch on the AC unit for free and they give you a bill credit for helping them with conservation efforts.  they wanted to verify information and I told them no and hung up.  
DO NOT give them ANY information!  it's fraud!

Received a call from this number and it was some random breathing so I thought it was a Halloween prank until I saw this page.  No one actually spoke during the call.

Keeps calling 3 times a day very annoying, not interested in what they are doing. Read messages about this number18777597536, dont know how they got mine, wish they stop calling!!!!

Call came in, I ignored it (I ignore all calls I don't recognize), glad I did! If someone doesn't leave me a voicemail, I don't answer when they try again. Just ignore if it comes in...

the caller never answered when i said hello but in the background there was a tv playing loudly

Just got this call.  I didn't answer.  There were a lot of voices in the background like a call center.  They didn't leave a message.

Another call from this number.  I didn't pick up.  Left no message.  Sounded like a call center, as before.

Did not recognize the number and therefore I quickly answer and hang up even faster.  Then I come here to find out the "scoop"; glad I did and appreciate this service.

Received the 3rd call from this number.  We didn't pick up.  They didn't leave a message.

got this call from this number 3 times today.  did not answer the second two but answered the first one as I was on the other line.  Said from Duke and I told them I doubted Duke would call from an 800 number and hung up.

Got a call on 7-30-2016 @3pm est - I could hear a lot of static, as though it was overseas calling.  The message left was not audible, but could tell it was a female.

Just an FYI - Many of these calls from strange numbers are not leaving messages and that is for two reasons.  1) You are on the Do Not Call list and if you call them back out of curiosity, then they did not violate the Do Not Call & 2) scam

Got my 4th call from this number today.  I let it go to our answering machine and heard a woman heave a big sigh before she hung up...LOL.

Fifth call this year.  I just ignore it.

Sixth call this year.  Who are these people??

Called again.  This time we blocked the number with our new Panasonic phone.

Called this morning. Said they were from Duke Energy. I hung up. Duke Energy does no business by phone. If they call again, I'll blow a whistle in their ear. It works!
