This number calls us 10 to 20 times every day, on weekends and into the night! We are on a do not call list, and we have tried everything to get them to stop to no avail. Anyone have any ideas of how to shut these jerks down?

It could be coincidence, but I have noticed that for the numerous calls I get like this (including the ones from this number), if i answer and very quickly hang up, the calls tend to stop either immediately or after a few days. Worth a try. My reasoning for trying this was thinking if they dont get an answer nor a voicemail, there is no way for them to know if it is a live phone number, which is usually why they will keep calling back. Again, could just be coincidence.

They have now called several times in the past 24 hours. This is my cell phone number it is calling. Computer leaves a voicemail telling me that Time Warner Cable is confirming an appointment at my home for a technician to install service. I have never had Time Warner Service and have moved out of the Time Warner area a few years ago.

Time Warner?  Well then Time Warner should leave a message -- or at the very least identify themselves in the Caller ID. Great business practice, but why should I expect any more from them?  Everything they do is a mess.   I don't answer the phone when I don't know who's calling so if they need to talk to me they better speak up!

I received an automated call and it was legit. We are moving and they are calling to confirm that I still want my service switched. I just had to call the number back to confirm. It was all automated so it was an easy on and off call.

Yes and no. As caller ID is easily faked the number may be correct, but not the caller. A wise choice would be to not give out information on a call you did not make. And then to a number you verified as real and correct.
