Robo call. Had it been from anything else they probably wouldn't be able to tell you your name.

Central Financial Control - says debt collector, but I don't have any debts to collect.

Still calling even after two years almost. They still haven't said who they are trying to contact. I have no debt. Will not answer their calls. Left a recorded message.

Keep getting calls from this group stating that I owe someone money but they won't tell me who and then they get mad because I am not saying I owe whomever is trying to collect a debit. Hung up on the last person who contacted me. I also contacted a few of the business types they suggested that I have done business with in the past and asked them to check to see if I owed them anything and they all said no and that this group is not one they would use to collect, also provided a few other tips like they would try to collect a debt for up to 6 months before using any agency for collections.  These folks should be ashamed of themselves but I guess if they can collect money from people that is a win for them. I will now flag their number an ignore the next time they call.

Received a call on my cell phone from 877-792-8234.  Caller ID showed "Unknown."  Caller didn't leave a message & is blocked on my phone.  Reading previous comments on this page, this caller appears to be Central Financial Control, a debt collector with deceptive practices.

On June 18, 2015 the business entered into a consent order with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The Assurance settles allegations that the business failed to respond to more than 13,000 consumer credit report disputes within 30 days, and failed to send debt validation notices to more than 10,000 consumers, during which the company continued to collect over $2 million from consumers who did not receive the notices. Under terms of the Assurance the business agreed to provide over $5 million in relief to affected consumers, correct errors on credit reports, and pay a $500,000 fine. The Assurance was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. Robo-call.  Ignore and delete. One of these days I will actually leave my phone on overnight so I can log the number calling me and block it. They typically call at 8am.

Yee Haw!  I was finally able to log one of their calls and put it on the blocked list.  Interesting that they called me at 4 in the afternoon this time.
Block-a-roo is in effect.
