savantius.com scammer

I live in Utah and I interviewed with this company for a job. Owners are amazing, but all telemarketers are [***], not scammmers. (yes, i am one). However, they are legit and have physical address.

they are not very careful with their data mining,  they sell numbers off the do not call list.

I reported their client company to the FTC.    www.donotcall.gov  and file a complaint

Company called and stated they received my number from one of their "partners". When I asked who the parter was, the representative gave me a number to call: 877-763-1880. Calling this number brings you to a recorded message.  I left a message at the 877 number requesting to know who is giving out my personal contact information and have not received a call back. Subsequent calls to this number have resulted only in the same recorded message, so I became suspicious and Googled the 877 number and found that it belongs to "savantius.com".  (Go to their website to confirm - accurate as of 7/21/2010)  WHOIS data on Savantius.com reveals that it belongs to Jody Rookstool of 734 East utah valley drive, american fork, Utah 84003. Phone number is listed as (801) 772-0620.  I say call "Jody" and see how much she likes it!

I'm on a do not call list and these [***] keep calling.

Good Job, That number you gave isn't working, what else can we do to "see how they like it" that is legal?

I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, I received a call today about home security or something like that.  I asked where they got my number, the guy gave me the 877 number.  I called it, left 4 messages, no one has gotten back to me... hummm... that seems funny.

I'm on the DO NOT CALL list too, and exactly the same thing happened to me as what Jeff wrote: I got a call about home security, and they said they got my number from an online partner. When I asked them what partner, they said they didn't know but gave me this 877 number to call. He repeated it twice for me. When I called it just now, all I got was a busy signal.

As a past employee (for less than a month) I can tell you that this company has less than zero scruples.  They will pull a persons credit WITHOUT their consent.  Yes, this is very possible to do.  They pay for a system that will take a Persons name (bought from other companies), DOB (wheedled out of the unknowing person on the phone because this was represented as an "alternative to pulling credit") and address.  This system generates a SSN for them, which they then use to pull your credit.  You are told NONE of this.  
When the salesman comes back to the phone saying "I'm sorry, it looks like that promotion isn't valid in this area" that means you failed credit.  Why would a company call you, pitch a deal that you would be stupid to say no to (sarcasm), and then tell you that you live in an area in which they can't offer it?  
If you have been contacted by Savantius/Protect America, and they asked your Date of Birth, your credit was run without your consent.  This is illegal.  I suggest you order a copy of your credit report immediately, and call your favorite attorney.
