I had an attorney look into the number, the communications come form a Company called HFG  claiming to be from Global Pre-Litigation. The company is a  scam do not give them any info, tell them it is a scam and advise them they are a scam.

this number called my cell phone showed up as unknown, and was looking for someone else.  The message they left was rude and they tried to quote virginia state statues to make them sound like they know what they are talking about.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  They want you to verify all this information.  I think they are trying to collect a debt and using any means neccessary.  Please be careful with the information.

They have threatened our church answering machine. Someone from the attorney general's office has advised me that this is a scam. Do not even reply.

this same company called me back and i called them back after hours the automated system told me it was ssa firm does any one know about them.I THINK IF ANYONE WOULD KNOW MY ADDRESS IT WOULD BE THEM???????

PEOPLE CALL AND TELL ME THAT A FRAUD HAS BEEN COMMITED USING MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND THAT I HAVE TO CALL THEM AND GIVE THEM MY ADDRESS SO THEY CAN SERVE ME LEGAL PAPERS AND IF I DON'T CALL I CAN BE HELD IN CONTEMPT OF COURT THEY ARE A COMPANY CALLED SSA FIRM ,BUT OTHER PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE HFG OR GLOBAL PRE LITIGATION

I received a call from a Darren Williams telling me to call that number regarding a fraud against my social security number, that he was a state locater and I need to call that number to get answers. Very strange,

They have now taken to sending text messages that say contact them in regards to a time sensitive matter linked to my name and location. They have left voice mails stating they will be serving court papers on Thursday which was right before Thanksgiving. They are basically being harassers and terrorists for lack of a better term.

They have also left me the same text messages and are texting my husband and my father...saying that it is a time sensitive matter.  These people claim to be SSA group and my attorney has advised me they are a scam and do not speak to them.  How do we get them to stop sending text messages?

I also was contacted by this ssa group. They called my work and home. How do we stop the calls. The attorney general office advised us to just keep hanging up on them.

Here's a new one....  Received a text from 640-85 with the message to call 1-877-774-1878 regarding a time sensitive matter linked to my name and location information. Knowing this is yet another scam, I replied STOP to the text.  I then received a message confirming I have discontinued Clicktell Alerts and will no longer receive messages.  When I checked out Clicktell Alerts on the internet, it shows they are a company that other companies use to put out texts and emails by the masses.  Scam artists at their bests! Good luck everyone!

These people are also using this number 804-381-0971, and than leaving an 800 number to call.  I posted some info earlier (11/21).  Please be careful.  When I did call them back they were looking for someone who had given them this number and I informed them I did not know this person, and the supposed "investigator Brown" said she would remove my number for this list.  As you can see this is not working, nor did she remove my number.  Please be careful about them.  Don't trust them.

I just received the exact same message so, after looking up 'clicktell alerts'on the internet, I followed your advice and immediatly received message back confirming that I had discontinued clicktell alerts and would no longer recieve messages.

please report this "debt collection company" to the New York State Attorney General's office by calling 716-853-8404.  Located in Tonawanda, NY.   All threats  they are making are false.

I worked for them they are a scam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are collecting on debts that have already been paid on do not give them any info report them
