This company claimed to be sending me a gift card to Walmart......
No such luck, charged me 4.95 shipping

yeah same thing here and when you call the number it prompts you to select one to leave a messege after the beep.........wheres the damn beep?

Contact your bank. They should reverse the charge for you after they check it out. It is obvious they are ripping people off.

i received a call from this number 12 days ago tell ing me that i would receive a wal mart gift card if i paid 4.95 for shipping and handling. well i did and it was deducted from my credit card 10 days ago and i still havent received anything. is there anything that can be done?

I can see that I was not the only one who fell for this one. Not only did this happen, I am canceling my card because they are trying to put more charges on my card. I can only suggest that no one ever try for one of those "too good to be true" ads!!

I just called again and ACTUALLY got through. I guess i will see now if they actually refund my 4.95 to my account. I can only suggest to anyone who goes through this to do the same, and be extremely persistant!! These people actually tried to tell me that they had to find another company to get their "voucheres" from, and that it was just sent out last Friday! OMG! And, if not for you wonderful people, I probably would have fallen for that one as well. I am presently waiting for a manager to call me because I will NOT stand for this to continue! They may change their name, their number, whatever they will do, but they will not continue this way as long as I can help it. I hope this helps.

I am getting a run around as well.  After ten plus days, I called to see what was the hold up. The first time I was told that for some reason my voucher was sent back and they will send me another one.  Ten days after that I was called again and was told it was on its way.  I then called three days ago and they couldn't find my information.  I think it is a rip off.

Yeah, I too fell for the stupid trap of hoping to get a gift, but did have gotten charged 5.95 for S&H.  Thankfully I used my credit card so I can get the charge taken off.  Be wise, and AVOID ANYTHING SCAM LIKE THIS!

I wished that I had checked this out before I let them take my money.  One thing that I am going to do though is contact the BBB, FBI, The AG office in New York state and my bank and tell them what these people are up too and let them do something about it because these people need to be put behind bars for stealing because that is what they did.

SAME HERE! calls for a clearing house and free walmart card PLUS free magazines for shipping charge! ARG! must cancel my card as well.

I just called the 877 number and I got through quite easily and fast.  I told the guy on the phone I wanted my $5.95 back and for my identity to be cleared from their system.  He immediately says "Ok, I will.  Have a nice day."
I asked how he knew my name and information and how he is going to make sure this happens, he simply said that he has my phone number and will do it with that, and another "have a nice day."
I said to him, I'm not sure what you guys are doing here, but it's definitely illegal.  Once more, another "have a nice day", clearly trying to get me off the phone.

But if you call your bank they will be more than willing to refund you your money (if it turns out to be actual fraud) and send you a new check card free of charge.

Also, if you google "Walmart gift card scams" there is an option to report scams.  I suggest we all do this so this can come to an end.

Another also, isn't it quite certain this is a scam when a person calls the 877 number and immediately the voice inquires if we are calling because we haven't received our gift card! and it's the only problem mentioned!!

I just got through and the guy told me that I should receive my card Thursday or Friday. If I don't get it to call back and they will FEDX it to me overnight. Isn't that sweet,(NOT) because he didn't ask for no information from me. He sounded like he was in a car driving with the window down and the wind was strong that I barely could hear him, now tell me this, isn't that kind of ironic.

I just got done writing about this.  The Rep. lady on the phone was so nice!!  I told her when giving her my credit card number that It was my life line.  She didn't even flinch!  I was scammed too for the exact amount.  Never again!  Spent last Saturday with my family - my sisters made me call my bank to cancel my card.  They preached to me that nothing in life is free.  Nothing!  They're right again.  Damn that lan line.  I could be saving $50 a month for not having that!

same thing happened to me i called the number and got the run around. i emailed walmart  and told them the story and they sent me a gift card and apologized for being misled and that they hope i could still trust the walmart name. i say email corporate the more they know that its not just me maybe something real can happen to the people that screwed us over

What the hell is this i thought wow its my lucky day and its fake what in the world they sounded real to me i mean come on.  I want to sue them man i am soo irrate.

I received the same call and just got off the phone with them, I paid that on (1/16/2010) was told that it was just sent out. I told them I want my money back and that they have been reported. I know ya'll are as mad as I am, we should know better!

I am very disappointed as well! I thought this was too good to be true. They got my money, and I never received my Walmart gift card. I think I wll call my bank tomorrow to dispute this situation, and just maybe they can gve me my money back.
