Caller is from MCS with the above-referenced number.  I advised that we are on a "Do Not Call" Registry.  The man said he would keep calling us until we answered him.  He did not care if we were on this registry.  We have no outstanding debts and do not want to purchase whatever he is selling.

I reported this number to the FTC for harrassment.

Message left from Vanessa at 877-775-3091.  Message said I needed to contact them regarding my financial obligation to Friedman Jewelry which I have never heard of.
I called and got Vanessa on the phone - I suggested she provide a physical address if she is actually at a legitimate business.  She refused - I hung up.   End of call.  If you cannot confirm the physical address (not a PO BOX) then it is a SCAM!  If they should provide an address, verify it with a reverse address lookup on the internet.   Call back on the company's published phone number - not one provided.

Its a collection agency so of course they are not going to listen to you when you say your on a do not call list. Just verify if they have the right person and #. If not they will delete it.

Friedman jewelers went out of business and Monterey Collection purchased the outstanding debt. You should run your credit and verify if the debt they are calling for is on your credit report. If it is they have the right debtor..if not then no worries. Oh and by the way if you want to find a companies add then google it instead of being rude.

This number is for Monterey Financial. It will show up as 877-775-3091 or 760-639-3500. We had thought we had bought in to this resort plan in Mexico until we came back home and found out the program was fradulant. The man that sold us the package had not been working for the company for over a year, he took the money and left. We contacted our credit card company and set up the fraud alerts and they took care of everything. We even recovered the majority of the money. All was well for 5 years. We had moved and had to get a new phone number and suddenly we get very harrassing calls from this number. The man my daughter spoke to used all sorts of profanity towards her just because she wouldn't give him her name. After that he called back 45 times over the next hour. We've explained that their was no debt whatsoever. Their was no service provided. Just a stupid booking error by the company the man had worked for when we had settled the situation more than 5 years ago. They still couldn't provide proof of the debt. These people are disgusting, evil, and downright criminal. Every person we've spoken to has acted the same way. Hopefully they don't sleep at night. My advice...do not answer. If you have to, call the local police dept and telephone company.  No one should ever be harrased by these monsters!!!!!

It's a collection agency.  And beware, they are really nasty on the phone.  The woman called my house and had an attitude.  I tried to talk to her about the issue and she interrupted me. When I said, "excuse me."  She became irate and said i was rude and interrupted her.

She said she'd call back the next day and hung up on me.

They have 120,561 comments regarding this company and their bad practices.  Just do some online research.

    Good luck.

Apparently they must be into several companies then, because they are a collection agency.  Perhaps the other company names are only fronts.

Beware, they have lots of comments and complaints with regard to the way they handle their business.

The woman I spoke to was rude on the phone and hung up on me when I was talking.

It's a debt collection agency.  They are very rude people with questionable practices.  Read more online comments that consist of 120,561 people writing with regard to them and how they do  business.

Very rude indeed.  And if they call you, they should be able to give you the details, address included.  After all they are calling your home and should identify themselves.

They have many different phone numbers and different company names.  Do not send them a check for any payment you owe a different company.  Do not give them your bank account.  They will empty your account.

If you owe them any money, best to send a money order, make a copy and send it certified mail... with a receipt requested.

    Good luck,

got this msg again from MCS..... think they call about 3 times a day...... i finally called back and asked what they were calling about.....
the information that they told me was SOOO incorrect i have now reported them. first they had the wrong name (name they were refering to is not me), second the guy was VERY rude, and snappy towards me when i told him he had the wrong number. he accused me of lying.... saying it is VERY odd how i responded to the name he was saying they have been calling..... which to me is weird as what does that even mean?!
if they keep calling..... think i will block their number.

I have no reason for this company to be calling me.  My 40 year old son has an outstanding debt, but is in Afghanistan.  When told that the rep. got nasty, and told me to stop insulting his intelligence.

Have had several calls from this number, most of the time they call when I'm not home.  They just say they're from MCS and no additional information.  I don't have any past due accounts so they are not trying to collect any money that I owe them.  How do these people get your number when you are listed on the "no call" list?
