Caller said he was from Protection One Security and asked me to call this number after they received a "front door entry alarm" from my home. I don't and never have used Protection One Security as an alarm company and I am at home and my alarm from another security firm, has not gone off. I did not call the number, as I'm sure it's a scam.

It may not be your house, I got a call today at my workplace and they were looking for my boss, he wasn't in, I asked to take a message and the operator told me there was a fire alarm in the hallway going off. His mother (senior citizen) had put eggs on to boil, walked out to get mail and the neighbor invited her for coffee. She forgot her eggs. Scorched pan smells like a rotten burnt fart, but legit protection one called for fire assistance. You may have been listed as emergency contact for a loved one and that's their company they use for monitoring. Just make sure to ask loved ones

got a call on my cell from 7\\-776-1911 at 630AM saturday am. Really.  robo calls i guess.  btw i live in apt. .  did not answer anyway

I got two different calls from "ADT" each saying there was an alarm at an address. Neither of the addresses were mine. I did call them back and one of the addresses was associated with a previous coworker. They did not ask for any information, so it didn't seem like Phishing, but I don't know what the angle is.
