It's Green tree...my payment is due on the 1st and they start calling on the 2nd...

Oh ma goodness. thEy do that to me EVERY month. I cannot stand them!

Green tree they are relentless and call on the weekends. Calling at annoying hours wont make the payment get through the post office any sooner.

They are such a pain in the ass....if the payment doesn't post on the 1st, they start the automated calling. although the payment is not late until after the 15th......

I dont even answer them anymore...they always get the payment before the 15th.

Yeah if you tell them your going to pay on a certain date, thats not good enough they want you do a check over the phone for that date. And im a parent and you never know what emergency is going to happen  from one pay day to the next and you may need that money and have to pay them at a later date. And don't try to cancel the date promised they get mad and then start asking to set up future payments. They are a pain in the butt, they are rude and i am hoping to find another company to pick up my loan, i am sure there are plenty of nicer compaines out there besides  "Green Tree".

Greentree...A very shoddy run company, I guess they feel the need to pay people to call me a hundred times a week to remind me when my pymt. is due or overdue. I don't answer any calls that I don't recognize and they never leave a message. But they have , on more than one occasion, called people on my street that have nothing to do with my loan trying to get in touch with me. I think they probably need to be reported to someone, as other people don't have a need to know my business.They have multiple "877" numbers and others.

Green Tree sucks.  They call and call and call.  Just so you know.  There isn't a grace period with them.  Most likely your initial mortgage wasn't them, but was sold to them, so if you had a grace period with your initial mortgage company, you don't with them.

Report them to the BBB for contacting people, and they will give you a "we have a right to do that to find you," excuse.  BBB won't do much though even though there is hundreds of complaints filed against them.   Make sure you know the laws of the Fair Debt Collection Act.  But be prepared for nothing to happen.  They break every rule when it comes to that.

For ten years I have made the payment between the 12th and 14th of the month.  For ten years they call me in spite of the fact that I have set up auto payments in advance. . .what ticks me off most is when you pick up the phone there is a bloody recording that asks you to hold . .

they call me numerous time too and i agree on the rudeness!  They like to threat with reposessing. i am a single mother of 3 and i get paid twice a month.  i always send payment from my second check and they will have to deal with it being late.

Have had note through Greentree for 3 years and never received calls - even on previous late pays.  For some reason, two days late over holiday weekend this month and calls have started!

Green Tree sucks .............. I hate them sooooooooooo much.  This is the worst company to have your mortgage go thru.  Trying to find another company to pick up my loan.  They keep calling and calling at all hours of the day and night.  Not going to pick up the phone for 1-877 numbers !!!!

Green Tree sucks to the max, they call and call.  You may or may not be late.  Even if you set up an automated system to deduct payment, one month they just forget and charge you late fees.  Then Harass you.  This would be the WORST lender I have dealt with.

We have had the same experience with this company that every other poster has had. They are a nightmare and non stop harassment. This month, they received my payment on the 2nd, that's when the check cleared my bank. It is the 7th and they called twice today from two different numbers. Even their automated system says they have receive my payment this month.

My husband and I have had mortgages through about 10 different companies. We have always had a grace period until the 15th, and have NEVER EVER received a single phone call from ANY of the other companies, despite sometimes paying on the 12th or 13th.

Also, Greentree runs their business like Fred Flinstone ages. They do not accept electronic payments from banks and do not have a website you can make an auto payment on. You can do a check over the phone for a $12 fee.

It takes 2 - 3 days longer to get Greentree a payment than any other of my accounts, even small accounts like water and garbage. My bank has to physically mail them a check. I am starting to wonder if they have kept it this way on purpose to make it harder for us to get the payment to them.

I am going to find a way to make these people leave me alone even if I have to change my home phone and not give it to them. They have no right to call and harass, especially AFTER the payments been made!!

I hate Green Tree SOOOOOOO MUCH!  I mailed my payment in about 2 weeks ago and apparently they still haven't received my payment.  I always, always, ALWAYS pay on time.  I guess they're slow because of the holiday this past weekend.  I'm going to refinance my mortgage so I can get rid of them!

I haven't gotten many phone calls, but it's still annoying when they call during work hours and I'm trying to get work done.

Green Tree ... more of a name for a Landscape Company then a Mortgage Company.
They call after the 1st of the month if you have not paid them.  They must be in such a financial crisis that they need our money by the 1st of the month.  Basically they call and harass good citizens to make up for the delinquents who are probably in foreclosure.  I bet they could save thousands of dollars a year if they cut out the 50 different numbers they own which harass thousands of people daily.  I curse the day that National City became PNC and they sold my loan to Grinch Tree Mortgage.

my payment is due on the first of the month as well, we send out our payments around the 23rd of every month to ensure that GreenTree gets the payment in time... but they always manage to call wondering where their payment is... and I've already checked with the bank and seen where the transaction had cleared on the 29th of the month. It's just harrassment... I have one more payment to make and can't wait til it is done!!!

These people need to be stopped. We need to ban together and file a law suit against them. They are out of controll.

Death to Green Tree. They can't justify calling both of my numbers rapidly over and over. After I hung up on them a few times, they even did something weird to my phone line so that it was flashing in and out and couldn't be used for a couple minutes. I've never been late on my mortgage. What the hell?

I just started getting the calls today. 3 calls with no messages. My payment wasn't even late.  Now that I learned from this forum that this number is  Green Tree,  I will have to answer the phone to find out what this is about. It's annoying that they don't leave messages. Anyway they'd better not charge any late fees.
