They called my wife's personal Tracfone, not once but three times looking for someone leaving a voice mail.  I wrote down the number and the wife called them from a land line and he hung up on here and was quite rude.

Spoke to Rebecca who actually hung up on me.  I called back and she cursed at me and then transferred me to her supervisor who then also told me some horrible things.  I will never take a call from this number again.  They are scary people.  We hired an attorney to deal with them.

The caller was a recorded message saying they are NOT a collection agency and have an important message for me. I immediately plugged their number into Google... I know they are not allowed to misrepresent themselves in anyway and NO, they are not allowed to call you at work ever!!!--tell them you will report them! People; don’t let these collection agencies push you around. And don’t forget to look up your own states law on the statues of limitations for a debt. In California the statue is 4 years—meaning, I don’t have to pay them a dime. If your debt has passed the 4 year mark and you DO PAY them, the clock starts all over again and then you'll have big problems. The statue does not mean they have to cease their efforts, but if they take you to court and you inform the judge that the statue has passed, he will throw the suit out! You can also ask for dammages if there are any. The collection agencies know this and will often stop calling once you mail them a letter citing the statue.

Caller was a recording and stated that it was not a collection or survey and had important medical information for me. I had to push one to speak to an operator. This guy came on and wanted to know why I had called him. I told him you called me and then he asked for my tellephone number. Well if he called me then he knew my number. Then told me I had a collection notice on a unpaid debt. Which was a lie. I have stated before that I class these people in the lowere than human life form and should be treated that way. They have laws to protect us but they seem to get around them anyway. To someone who is disabled these calls are terrible.

Same as calls above except they got the first name of my husband wrong.  It begins with a C but they got the wrong first name---the last name was correct.

they misrepresent themselves for sure! Given their name, Allstate, they left me a message regarding my insurance 'claim', referred to a past conversation(never had one) and left a phone# and 'claim #". One problem besides their illegal tactics, I don't have Allstate Insurance. They're collectors for a Providian Visa credit card account that was paid off 6-7 years ago in a refi.  They are certainly rude!

Just got a call from these people on my cell phone and was unfamiliar with the number.  Same jargon - not a sales call but we have an important message for you.  Looked the number up on your site and then called from a landline to find out it is a collection agency.  Funny thing - I don't owe anyone anything . . . I hung up before I spoke with anyone.

Piece of [***] company. I don't have any bad debts. I've always paid my bill ON TIME! Very rude and they had information that was 10 yrs old, asking about my deceased father. Not legit, don't buy into it!

Allstate Financial Services must be mining old debts--someone used my # (not just for bills, I get calls from guys she didn't want to date, but didn't want to stop the free drinks from coming either I guess) and they have been haunting my phone # for years--I used to call and explain that they had the wrong number, but every couple of years I start getting calls again.

I'm currently getting calls from this number stating they want to speak to the parents of and the recorded message say our last name, which means nothing to me; but still it bugs me.They're trying to collect from people that owe nothing to no one. If you really owe something to someone, they usually send you couple of letters first, then they start calling. To me this is a scam!!!!!  the question is, How can we prevent this scamers from calling your house?

Continue to get annoying, automated calls from "Allstate Financial Services" saying "This is a personal business alert".... for and part of my name. The recording calls at least once a week for more than 3 months. I intend to hunt them down and sue for harrassment and all the minutes they keep using on my cell phone. Will also feature them on home page of JerkZ.com

Received a call from a person named Karen, who must have been calling from her own phone. She was looking for someone who lived at the number called and said she was calling for Credit One.

I didn't know they could call on the weekend.

This will just go sit with the other calls from this number.

I have to say the person was nice but, call on the weekend doesn't win her any points.

A relative of mine who doesn't speak/understand English very well has been harassed by this collection agency for several months.  I finally spoke to someone on her behalf who, although he was nice, still provided false and misleading information.  The woman my relative had been dealing with was rude, harassing, and threatening.  I immediately settled the bill with the original creditor and called Allstate Financial and requested to speak with the rep with whom my relative was dealing and told her I was reporting her and her company to my AG and the FTC for harassment and deceptive practices under the FDCPA.  She transferred me to someone who replied with "big deal" and told me I was "wasting my time" and that there are "thousands of complaints from people who have nothing better to do".  I encourage everyone who has been threatened, lied to, and deceived by this company to file a complaint with the FTC and your states AG.

Spoke to a Mike today. I told him I tried calling them at the # 1-866-508-1877 but the phone just kept on ringing.  I told him a Karen Redmond left me a message and to return her call 1-877-800-7878 ext 1045. I then told him I stopped payment for them because I have not received any information in the mail like who the creditor was? How much my balance was? When will it be all paid off? He started to say the address they have on file which was wrong. When I told him how come no one did not contact me. He said they did not send a return address. I then asked him could I get a copy of  all my payments.  He told me you have to have a fax #.  I told him I did not have one but I do have an e-mail. He then said go get a lawyer and we will see you in court.  He was very rude.

A Douglas Diamond contacted my father and left his message on the answer machine.. He stated that he is an attorney for Allstate and filing a claim in a San Diego court on the behalf of my father whether he talks to him or not.  He left his number( 877)8007878 x 1047 and a case number. I haven't checked to see if there is a pending case in San Diego County re: that number but I can almost guarantee there isn't one.

So, a Karen Redmond called my cell phone saying that I had a past due balance from Steinberg Diagnostic and was demanding a full payment + an additional $50 "credit removal fee"...? It didn't sound good to me since, I always pay my bills on time & besides, $50 "credit removal fee"????? I told her I was gonna call her back & then I came straight to Google & found this webpage. I am contacting the REAL Steinberg Diagnostic company to see if they received my payment and to see what's going on...but this is really disturbing and very scary...how did they get my name? the name of this company that I had used? and my phone number????????
    I'm scared!!!
