- jcp| 1 reply49 calls since 11/16/2007. On 12/8/2007 I was frustrated enough to answer. They asked for a Jacob someone or other - not in my household, never has been. On 12/9/2007, an automated message was left telling me to "call them about a personal business matter immediately." On 12/10/2007 I called. They immediately asked for my Capital One credit card number. I asked who they were trying to contact - again, a "Jacob." I told them there never was or has been a Jacob at this number. They said they would remove the number from their database.
Once again, 12/10/2007, a phone call from 877-803-8009 at 8:50 PM. No message left.- Caller: NCO Financial

- Lindy| 1 replyThey have called using their name but have also called using all different numbers and it is always a automated call. They call all times of the day including Sundays which on Sundays it is all day and into the late evening. I called them back and you get a automated voice saying this call may be recorded for quality control then you are put on hold. They at anytime state who they are.
- Lindy replies to LindyMeant to say that they do not at anytime state who they are when you all the number back
- Marinewife21404They called me a few times... I went to call them back and the phone rings one time then stops and I get disconnected. So I dont know how I am going to get ahold of them If their phone wont even ring.
- pissed offcalls all hours of the day and night . ask you to call back about an important business matter but when you call back you get this call maybe recorded for quality control then you are put on hold. - Dave CThey called saturday night, hung up, then again sunday night, they hung up, didnt say a word to me. caller id is 877-803-8009, tried calling back, just get message they are available 24hrs a day..... very annoying.
- chyannieNumerous calls. Say Hello and they hangup. Call the number and it can not be reached as dialed. Telephone companies need to do something about the snakes that have invaded their sytems and our homes. Do not talk or respond to anyone but families or friends. If "they" have business to discuss let "them" mail a letter. I have had it with these type of calls and they are getting worst. My credit score is 825 and my bills are paid on time. What the hell do these scumbags want?

- Sandyhmm so it's capital one huh? I had some issues with them, and some charges to my account, that were not valid. They agreed to remove them, but yet my account was not updated, The rep said to pay up for the large amount that they agreed I didn't owe, but that their "systems" took months to update... what creeps... I refuse to pay for only what I owe
- radarDO NOT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. They say they are Capital One. I called the REAL Capital One and we do not have an account with them. This is PHISHING company saying they are Capital One. They also use the telephone number 800-955-6600. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN!!!!! Be very careful.

- kenCalls every day around noon. If they don't call, their other numbers will call me, 1-703-229-1571 or 1-972-546-1547. I have lodge a complaint with the national donotcall group. Never ever have I had a message. Yesterday the phone rolled over to voice mail, but ne message.
- trentThey called me on 4/4 and said they were calling because my balance was overdue. Yes, I'll admit on another statistic with credit card debt. I told them I would love to make it go away but cannot make a committment. Even with telling them that they had ALL my banking information, not to mention the cell phone they were calling was not in my name. How they got all that information I do not know. In turn though I went to my bank and changed all my account numbers.
Also, Wayne I completely agree with you. Credit cards are a mouse trap, and we're the mice.- Caller: Something Financial Systems

- Grandpa MosesI have been getting un-appreciated annoying phone calls for the past several days. The do not announce who they are or the reason for the call other than it "is important to my financial future"! I called the number & got a “mailbox full message” with their hours of operation. Since I have no outstanding debt & I am on the national "do not call" registry I plan on reporting the number to the U.S. Government. Maybe it will make a difference?
- ticked offI have had several calls in the last week, some with the same number, some new ones. They are happening every day and I'm getting really pi--ed off. Why isn't this illegal? How do you stop it? I have never even had Capital One as a bank, and surely never will. Why does this website say, "Thank you for your contribution" at the bottom? Is this going to open me up for more of this crap?

- homer| 2 repliesWell, this number called my mom's cell phone and asked her for her credit card and social security numbers. She says that it was an automated system that asked her for that information. I don't know if you other guys have had the same issue but I think if we even owned a Capitol One card, they'd know the information....
If they keep it up, I'm bound to cuss them out like never before! I had to have her number changed 2 times, and my mother is 64 years old. It's hard for her to remember new numbers.
I guess that's why this country is going down hill with credit. Creditors have to increase the acceptability hoping that those with great credit will cover for everyones none payments. LEARN YOUR LESSON CREDITORS!!!- Caller: NCO
