I cross-referenced the number and it comes up belonging to Dynamic Recovery Solutions, a junk debt buyer out of Greenville, SC. A poster is having the same experience as you--receiving a dunning letter for a debt she/he never heard of:

got a letter demanding $708.41 from this outfit for a debt to Citibank.  I've never had any dealings with Citibank, so I called the number.  The woman I spoke to had my SS number and told me that the debt is from a Citibank Visa opened in 1987.  Forget that these people are calling me about a 27 year old debt, I was only 15 years old in 1987!  What's strange is that they sent this letter shortly after I began actively working on my credit in anticipation of a major purchase.  I honestly believe that this outfit got my information and created a completely fraudulent debt hoping I'd just pay up.  Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Send them a letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested demanding they validate the debt.

    EVIL PEOPLE THERE BE
Got a letter at my parent's house about a nonspecific debt I had supposedly with Advance America, an actual company that does payday loans. After getting off the phone with Life Lock and my bank, I called Advance America and they stated that they have no record of my having taken out a payday loan with them. Calling the number on the back of the notice to tell them they need to cease and desist immediately as I've already spoken with the creditor and they have never heard of me. Sounds about right, never taken out a payday loan in my life.

i also had this number call me, and a letter written stating that i owed some company named Metris-direct merchants.and that the phone call was from recovery solutions, in north carolina.( national credit adjusters ).. ok i dont know who metris direct mechants is.  when i looked up on the web for them?   i found measuring tools on one site, then plumbing fixtures on another . i dont know how they got my name?   i have never ordered anything from  a company named that.. EVER.   Nothing ever shows up on credit reports as i having unpaid bills from say 15, 25, 30, 40, years ago.  because i paid them all!!!!      guessing  they are just fishing to see who bites. isnt there a statue of limitations on such things anyway?  fake  debit collector looking up old bills people paid off years ago, filing newer claims is if they actually still owe? on some old debt?   its just as bad as robo dialers calling day and night.

Got a letter in the mail from Dynamics Recovery Solution about a debt I supposedly  owe when I tried calling them back I kept getting disconnected. But the crazy part about all this is that they have other sister companies out there that say they went paperless and that they can't provide a hard copy by mail .... Said that they would send an email to me with Docusign so that I can see that I owed the debt and they wanted me to sign it and return it back to them .   Funny thing is what they sent me I have been unable to access. Has anyone had a similar situation? What to do?

I have the same experience as you had. I called this 877-821-1659 this morning Dynamic Recovery Solutions. They can't fool me. I called Citibank as soon as I read the letter that I owed CITIBANK money. I told the lady I spoke to @ Dynamic Recovery Solutions that this is a scam. First of all I call Citibank and I don't have account with them and the lady said You open that account in 2008. "FYI I don't open Citibank credit card in 2008. How many times I told you that I don't have creditcard with CITIBANK. and I yell to her on the phone and I said if you don't dispute this stupid charges I will sue you. She said you will received a letter from the mail. I don't give her my personal information. Only the one appears on  the letter I received from them. PEOPLE don't get fooled by these EVIL scammers and verify first before sending money. Don't fall to their scam. Save your money. Just saying. Thanks also for the info.

Received a call on my cell phone from a local (Orlando area) phone number.  Listened to voice mail, which did not provide a person's name or a company name, but wanted me to call 877-821-1659.   Looked up that number online and found information suggesting that company might engage in bogus debt collection.   Blocked the local number, and have no plans to call the 877 number.
