I'm getting calls from these guys every day once or twice a day. Calls come at the same time around 2 p.m. I think it's done by an auto dialer. No message is left and the caller disconnects as soon as my voice mail turns on.

That is exactly what happens to me too. It is very irritating. I think it might be from Comcast (live search returns that name)

I am getting them also everyday. Our number is on the Governments Do Not Call List and our message lets anyone who is calling and who is a telemarketer that they are to remove our number from their calling list because we do belong to the GDNCL. However it doesn't stop them from calling. If you have comcast and they are actually calling on behalf of comcast then unfortunately they have a right too call you. I hate it.
I get tons of these call a day from various numbers some that don't have a number too trace too. Out of Area is one of those. Very annoying!

Same here.  When I answered, there was nothing on the other end.  I live in Seattle and also use comcast if that makes any relevance.

I get a call almost every day from that number as well.  I too live in Seattle and have Comcast.  Also belong to the do not call list.
Adding that number to my phone's ignore list.

I rec'd 4 calls today (7/15) I haven't answered...am glad to know its a 'spam' call from Comcast.....

US too!  They just called me for the FOURTH time (7/15) and hang up each time my voicemail comes on.  I didn't realize who it was, so I just searched Goggle and found you all.  This is kind of ridiculous!  Has anyone gotten ANYTHING when they actually answer it?  It's making us mad as well, I'm not going to run my minutes up answering over and over for these guys!  (FYI: We also have comcast!)

We received 4 calls on 7/15/07, over a 2 hour period.  We live in the Seattle area and are also comcast cusomers. We never answered the phone, they hung up before answering machine could pick up.

exactly the same here.  seattle area comcast subscriber.  this time, comcast left a message explaining a new interactive digital cable feature!

I called the number, and got "Thank you for calling Comcast."

Twice today, one at 5 and another at 6.  I don't answer and there's no message.  And yes, I live in the Seattle area:  Bellevue by Crossroads, if that means anything.

You people make me sick, just answer the phone and see what it is instead of calling it a conspiracy and whining about it.
I missed this call 2x today, then finally caught it just now and guess what?
I'm still alive.

It's an automated call informing Comcast customers that your On-Screen menu is "changing", probably to the new TV-Guide branded one.

(...continue rant)I used to work in a call center and every time someone asks to be taken off a call list, it's the law, you have to do it. The most irate people were always the ones who never answer the calls then finally when they did, they would explode on the poor sap on the other end of the line, like they have been intentionally trying to ruin your life.

You got a telephone to talk to people, if you don't want to talk to someone, don't continue to ignore it, grow some balls and speak up.

I was on the phone with Comcast, in the process of canceling my service, when this number called me.  I didn't answer it, and they didn't leave a message.  It was 1:55pm.  Hopefully now that my service is canceled they won't call anymore.

this number calls about 5 times a day and hangs up on me.... eventually i started to pick up the phone and say nothing, as they hang up as soon as they hear a voice... once a woman with a brazilian accent said "hellllooo?"... and then she hung up. Now a days when you say no thank you to the telemarketers, they take it personally. I am just mad that comcast cannot block out of areas as i dialed star 77 and it didn't work.. you block private calls by pushing star 71

If you don't like your job maybe you should find another one!! Don't scream at people that have a life and not all the time in the world to sit around waiting for some pushy sales"woman" to beg and plead for them to release their money, or worse... scare some poor elderly person into releasing their wallets with threats. Yes I know there are many telemarketers doing this. So back down with your high and mighty attitude. We are just trying to find answers!!

They call me several times a day, but no one ever answers.  When I call back I just get recordings. I just want them to leave me alone.
