Goy a text message from 2135983139 saying call 877-824-9132 if I'm still looking for a job. I'm reluctant. Who text for a job these days, especially if we've never spoken before. Seems unprofessional to me.

same just happened to me, except the text came from 2026177089. funny thing is I am a corporate recruiter. we never text and then ask the candidate to call an 800 number. something isnt right!

Same here. I called it back and a woman asked for my phone number. I didn't give it to her. I asked what job this is in reference to and she asked for my phone number again in a very persistant, impatient and unfriendly tone. So I hung up on her. I don't think an employer would ever text message anyone, as it is VERY unprofessional. Good try debt collectors... all you're doing is making me not answer my phone and miss actual potential phone calls from real employers. If you want your money, I need a job. You won't get it if I can't/won't answer my phone because you are harrassing me with phone calls and phony text messages.

It is for a career network service- they are attempting to enroll you in some job site that will allow you to apply for open positions within your area. Something like monster or careerbuilder. Very pushy sales people- who do not listen or allow you to talk.

From what I understood- the service is free and they create your profile for you over the phone. call if you want- whats the worse that can happen?
