I just received an approval for a 5000.00 loan from gerald from millfield financial services. I don't know anyone from this company and I never applied for a personal loan. I was told to pay 911.64 upfront to cover the first six payments on the loan. Then I would recieve the 5000.00 in two business days. I did some research and found out that this is a huge scam. I would never pay upfront for a loan. Makes no sense!!! BE CAREFUL. THIS IS A SCAM>
Did you apply for a PayDay loan through a 3rd party Marketing Service?
If so, they referred you to this Millfield Financial Service company.
The up front payment is the security for the loan because of your credit score and this up front payment is applied to your loan covering the first six monts payment.
What research did you you do to conclude this is a scam? I received the same call from the same company. Please advise. Thanks.
I did get a phone call to from a Gerald Carson for a personal loan. I am doing reseach on this company. I am trying to make sure the location they gave me is correct and searching the internet for more info on them. I received info and the contact looks legit, and they keep telling me that the contract is legally binding. I have a problem sending them a certified check or wire money to them before I recieve my loan.
I too received that same phone call from this number and talked to a Gerald Carson. I was told that I would have to pay some money upfront because of my credit score and that it would take care of the first 6 months and wouldn't have a payment due til May 2010. When I told him that I didn't have the money he told me that he could only hold the loan for me for 3 wks. I have searched information on this and can't find anything. Nothing shows with the BBB either. If anyone has had success please advice me.
I just received a call from this same company stating I could get a $6000 loan with a $844.25 deposit for the first 6 months and the next payment will be May 2010. Not sure if this is a scam. They are suppose to fax over the contract for me to look over. Has anyone actually dealt with this company before. I can't find anything on them as of yet.
Ialso received this call from the same company said i COULD GET A LOAN FOR 20,000 BUT THEY NEEDED FOUR MONTHS UP FRONT. i TOLD THIS GUY I WAS A CRAZY JERSEY PRIVATE EYE AND IF THIS WAS A SCAM I WOULD TRACK HIM AND HUMILIATE HIM. oF COURSE HE HUNG UP ON ME
I talked with richard castles and it was for a 5000 dollar loan but had to send 607 dollars for the first 4 month payments the papers they sent looked legit talked with western union about it and they said it was a scam called the # back and it had been disconnected so its a huge scam western union said you should never have to send money to get a loan. BIG SCAM THAT LOOKS AND SOUNDS VERY LEGIT!!!!!!!!
The United States Attorneys Office has been informed about this criminal activity and the FBI has initiated a serious investigation with intent to capture this criminal group.
I also talked with Richard Castles it was for 5000 dollars with an upfront fee of 607 dollars. I had him fax the papers with the loan description to see this. I researched the address of 260 Peachtree Street Atlanta Georgiain which it came back as an apartment building and also notified businesses located next door who confirmed there was no millfield financial service. I notified Castles back to fake process information. When I informed Mr Castles of my occupation as a police officer he immediatly hung up and the number was disconnected the next day. Be aware people never forward money for a loan its a scam.
Hey, you guys, this is a total scam. Look up the phone number 877-826-8581 and you will see how many people were scammed by these people. Do not send them any money. They sound legit but are big time conartists.
I spoke with Richard Castles about a $60,000 loan and was ask to make six monthly payments of $583.83. I faxed the loan documents that I signed back and waited to hear something from him before I sent the first payment. To date, I have heard nothing else from the company or him. Original contact was made by telephone. He supposedly got my name and number through an email.
Do not send them any money!! They are A rip off artist, The next time he calls, you will probably be asked to send them Moore money! I called a bank in the same zip code (30303) and they said they never even heard of them.
