- TW in PhoenixAccording to another "who called"-type site, at least 6 others in the Phoenix, AZ, area have gotten these, mostly on cell phones, for cards people do not have.
It's a robocall telling you your Barclays MasterCard has been put on temp hold for fraud, and call this number or go to their website.
It's fake. - Lisa in PhoenixMy daughter and I both received calls on our cell phones from this number about a Barclays account. It said that there may be a temporary hold placed on your account. Neither of us have this type of mastercards. I tried to call the number back from my home phone and it said the number was no longer in service, but I could dial it back from my cell phone and got a recording asking me to enter my account number. Definitely a scam!!!

- JulianI got the call for this number, and it sounded too fishy to be real. Instead of calling them, I called my bank and they confirmed that they do no leave generic messages, but will supply the name and dept of the caller. They identified this call as a scam and not to call it.

- RBI received a voice message on 07/30 from this number. I didn't check my messages until 3 days later. When I called the number, there was a message stating it was invalid and not a working number. I called my bank, the account was fine and they suggested I report this. A co-worker received the same call last night but from a different number. 866-467-4713. Be on the look out for that number as well.
