    It's Comcast internet and or cable collection service.  They want payment so they won't have to shut off your service.  My suggestion is to try to speak with them and work out making payments so that your service doesn't get interupted. 1-800-comcast

    Work out payments, my a**! My phone log shows they called twice the last two nights, right after I made my regular monthly payment. Apparently they're still unhappy that I refuse to pay them in advance for their crappy service. With my most recent payment of $110 on Jan. 3, my service is paid up through Jan. 10 - and my Feb. due date isn't until Jan. 18 or so. These people are vermin. As soon as I find out if my job contract is being renewed, I'm signing up for Direct TV. I've had it with these greedy jerks.

    Can't be a collections call, I am always a month ahead on my comcast payment and still i get the calls, and I won't take a call if they don't leave a message because I do not want to be charged on my cell phone for a telemarketing call

    Stop freaking out everybody. I just got a call from Comcast from this number, with a message left on my machine. I am current on my bill and don't owe. It was someone following on a service request, very nice gentleman.

    Actually, it is Comcast and it *IS* for money.  My husband takes care of this bill and makes arrangements if necessary, but they still have the audacity to call a few days before and/or a few days after a bill is due. In one instance, the chick told me that we were THREE months behind and were scheduled to be shut off the following week.  Looking back into the checkbook, that was not true at all.  A few weeks prior, we had made arrangements to split the balance due (since Jan. 1) into two different payments.  Somewhere, I think Comcast has some SERIOUS communication flaw between their departments.  They really need to get their act together.  And let's be honest, there is NO reason to be calling a customer before the payment is even due or even a few days after-the-fact.  It's called a GRACE PERIOD....it's a GOOD thing. But, we can thank the economy for this one...people just aren't paying their bills like they used to do.

    I went to a comcast center in Jan and paid 150$
    I left with a 35$ credit
    2 days later their auto billing tried to zap my bank account for 2 payments.
    Now they claim I owe that.
    I can see me installing a dish soon.

    yeah they are getting a little to comfy, u-verse is equally as pricey,att is a bait & switch low speed low base price $$ in taxes and fees.
    I live in an apt , so I cant have a dish but you dont get what you pay for you get more for less when compared to comie cast

    Message was  left on our cell phone to call back concerning a $253.29 overdue account with Comcast.

    First, we do not, nor ever have had Comcast.
    And, we are not overdue on anything.

    Yea, I bit!  I was furious!
    First thing they wanted, was to verify the account with our land line phone number.

    I don't think so!
    I asked her the billing number...it was an 800 number.
    I don't think so!

    It is Comcast, but it's not necessarily a collection call.  I work for Comcast and called my cell phone from my work phone this is the number that popped up.  Don't be so hasty to think that it's collections.  It may be a service follow up call.

    IT's justa friendly reminder that someone is behind on their bill.  I missed a payment and they are just making a call to remind you that you need to pay.  
    I just never answer the phone but I sent the bill in.  when they get it they will stop calling.

    Got a call from this number on my cell phone, did not recognize from the CallerID, and ignored it. If it is STILL Comshaft, it certainly canNOT be for overdue because I am on AUTOPAY and they direct-debit my account. I am CERTAIN it is for telemarketing purposes, as they have been snail-mail spamming me to go with their "Triple Play" (I don't even watch TV anymore, just have Limited Basic to cut the cost of my broadband internet service).

    Isnt that what the bill and disconnect is for? Since when do adults need someone to call them to say "we need our money". If it doesnt get paid evidently the person cant afford it at that time regardless if they call. Like calling a customer and putting pressure on them is gonna force them to change their mind about paying it.

    I dont need anyone to tell me what I already know. Thats nothing but pressure and threat, threat of disconnectio that I would already know would exist and they would be well within their right to terminate service for non-payment.....but dont [***] call me like you're bossing over.
