Just received a call at 3:30PM EDT on July 26, 2007.
When I answered the call I heard people talking in the background, but the caller never said a work.
He/she just hanged up.
The most annoying part is that they called my cell phone, and I'm on the Do Not Call Registry.

Someone called indicating they were calling about my home loan (I don't have a mortgate).  The caller ID displayed Hypertech.  When I phoned the number back with an ext. 2256, the person did not identify himself or the company name. Strange.

I have been receiving calls from the 877-847-8047 for several weeks. The calls come in at all hours, never leave a message, and are a royal nussance!
I too am on the National Do Not Call Registry, but it looks like where there is a will, there is a way........ I called, spoke with someone and supposedly my number has been removed and placed on the do not call list. Gee - it still happens.........

Grrr.... Got a phone call from Hypertech this morning.  The guy was quite enthusiastic about how our file crossed his desk this morning, and we were preapproved for a lower mortgage rate.  I calmly asked him to put us on their do not call list.  He said, "Ma'am, you are on the do not call list, but I'm not selling anything".  I responded, "Yes, you're trying to sell me a new mortgage that I don't want.  That is solicitation.  I do not want solicatory phone calls.  Please put me on your do not call list."  "Yes, ma'am".  Click.

I just got a call from this number, a Sergio at x.2271 said i was approved for a refinance that i applied for on 10/19 (never did i do that). I asked him how he got my number and he said it was given to him on the file. So i asked him who gave him the file, apparently he doesnt know that either.
Mind you, the property he called on, foreclosed 5 months ago!!
I am also on the donotcall list and i just got this number 2 months ago. Its my cell phone, WTH??
Leave me aloneeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Keep getting calls on my cell phone from 877-847-8047, I do not answer if i am not expecting a call, They will not leave voicemails. Returend call nad was advised the company name is Hypotec Lending, http://www.hypoteclending.com/. Annoying at least and aggravating at most, Asked to be placed on do not call list, They offered to refinance my mortgage when I don't even own a house.. Idiots at hypotec are desperate for my money. Just Say no to Hypotec.

Called @ 0745am.... Talking in background... No responce from caller then just hung up.... Looks like company is re-fi crap.... I am on national do not call list and this really just got my goat!!!!! Called number back and asked to be removed from their list.... Hopefully it works... To bad it can't remove me from the rest of the damn sales lists!!!! If I want it I will ask for it!!!!!

I keep getting phone calls from these folks. They either don't say anything or hang up on me!!

I have been receiving calls from Hypo (or Hyper) Tech for about a week.  same M.O. as described above, they call and either do not speak or hang up in my face.  They claim I filled out a request to be contacted on the Internet, which I do not recall doing.  Person I spoke to, Mr. Blades, (doubt if that's his real name) was very defensive and borderline rude when I asked how he got my number and information.  He then tried to imply that he was working with my current mortgage company.  I get a very bad vibe from this company.  If they call, hang up.

I just started receiving calls from 877-847-8047 in the past few days. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know but they are very persistent so this last time I just answered but did not say anything and muted my phone, I heard background noise and they hung up. From the other postings it sounds like it's a company dealing with refinancing, however, I am not a home owner AND I am SUPPOSED to be on the Do Not Call list. I thought if you tell a solicitor you are on that list and they don't stop there is some sort of action you can take...?

Yes there is, you can go to donotcall.gov and click on file a complaint. I'm not sure what happens afterwards but atleast you can try. I just put my home number on donotcall again after getting calls from this number everyday and they don't let you file a complaint for 31 days. If it's been more than 31 days since you entered your number on donotcall, I suggest you file a complaint against them.

I started receiving calls (3 to 4 a day) from these "people" after I contacted Countrywide about possibly refinancing from a 30 to a 15 year mortgage. I waited on the line until I heard someone breathing and then said, "whatever you're selling, I'm not interested. Put me on your do-not-call list immediately and never call me again or I will seek action against you.  Do you understand?"  The crude, ignorant, idiot at the other end told me he had a right to call me because my number was given to him as a company customer. This is a fly-by-night mortgage and loan company. What really makes me mad is that they probably bought my number from Countrywide  Countrywide is the only place I contacted and the only people to whom I gave my number, therefore, Countrywide had to have sold my number to these annoying, nasty solicitors. I have filed a report with the Do Not Call registry.  If they call me again, I'm going to answer with a loud bull horn in their ear!

i talked to the most ridiculously ignorant person i have ever spoken to in my life. supposedly his named was "brian", he had absolutely no manners over the phone and became abbraisive and aggressive as soon as i asked him HIS information. good job "brian"....good job....

I RECIEVED A CALL FROM 1-877-847-8047 THIS MORNING ABOUT A MORGAGE REFINANCE.  I HAD CALLED AND REQUESTED ONLINE, ALTHOUGH NOT FROM THIS COMPANY,(I KNOW THAT EVERYONE "SELLS" INFO LIKE THIS) A RATE QUOTE TO REFINANCE A SECOND HOME.  I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THE GIVE AND TAKE OF INFORMATION.  I FOUND THE GENTELMAN PLEASENT TO TALK WITH AND HE WAS NOT "PUSHY" AT ALL, EVEN WHEN I WOULD NOT GIVE HIM MY SSAN.  AFTER I DO SOME RESEARCH ABOUT THIS COMPANY, I MIGHT THEN CALL THIS MAN BACK AND GIVE MY SSAN TO FINISH THE APPLICATION.  BUT UNTIL THEN I THOUGHT THIS INFO ABOUT MY EXPERIANCE, AND THE INFO FROM THE BBB, MIGHT HELP SOMEONE.

Got a call today from 877.847.8047, called stated his name as Shawn and said he got my number from my current lender. Asked him about todays rates and he said that he is in the "wholesale lending" and the rates are lower than what I have.  He asked some questions including my home address,when I told him No,he said that "was smart of"me.He said I can check them out on the web and the BB.  I only read bad information and will not call them back. I am also on the National Do Not Call list. How can Country wide sell our numbers?

I received a phone call this morning from 877-847-8047.  The first thing they said to me was, "we noticed that you filed out a partial application with Countrywide.  Well, yesterday I was on the phone with Countrywide filling out an application and my phone went dead.  I was not able to get it recharged until late last night so my application was apparently only filled out partially.  An hour after the Hypotec call I received a call from Countrywide, when I told Erin that I had received a call from Hypotec who stated that I had filled out a partial application from Countrywide she said " WE DO NOT sell your personal information to other companies" and that I must have spyware on my computer, never had this kind of problem before and we have anti-spyware software.  Another person at countrywide stated that if I used a search engine then that could have been where my information got out.  Thing is, how did Hypotec know that I filled out a partial application????  I think Countrywide is the culprit and I am NEVER USING THEM for anything!!! So if I'm on the No call list and Countrywide gave my information to Hypotec, can Hypotec call me legitimately?  Anyone know?? Cause I'd like to put in a complaint on Hypotec with the No Call Registry.

I got the same story from Country wide that Mary L got.  I did not fill out an online application; I called countrywide about a possible refinance. Countrywide is selling our information.  I've had it with them. Oh by the way, this company is Lake Worth Mortgage Brokers in Lake Worth, Florida.
