They keep calling my phone asking for my parents. They are quite rude and I have no idea what they want.

THEY CALLED FOR MY PARENT...ASKIN ABOUT ME AND I SAID I AM THE GIRL YOUR ASKING FOR AND THEY JUST HUNG UP SOME MALE

A white possibly gay male called my phone can i please speak to *my name* parents...juat a few minutes ago...i said whos this and they said okay bye...

The same thing happened to me. Im tryna figure out if it has something to do with SAT scores... OR if im in trouble for something.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. it doesnt have anything to do with SAT or anything, because i'm too young and havent taken mine yet. And i dont think i'm in trouble, so that cant be it either. It was a guy too, i didnt ask what he wanted i just hung up because i thought it must be some kind of sales call. weird...

The same thing happened to me. They called like 4 or 5 times and when I finally answered they asked to speak to my parents. I hung up and then called the number back. An automated voice answered and gave me the option to remove my number from their list.

They keep calling me too! They called me 7 times today alone, I picked up finally and told them they had the wrong number when they asked to speak to my parents....hopefully they will leave me alone..or maybe I should just let them speak to my parents...they keep annoying the heck out of me!!

I got a call from this number they said can speak to "my name's" mom or dad please. I just hung up because i didnt really care but i want to know why they are calling and how they got my name and number! I realized these people have been calling for months! Who are they?

I'm feeling the beginnings of a horror movie. Or maybe he is a hit-man working for the Godfather because he was given an offer he can't refuse. Or maybe it's Hogwarts, they've just recently stop sending letters and got with the 21st century. Or it could be a salesman. (I hope it's Hogwarts because I have already started getting my supplies, i.e. an owl, a wand, and The Standard Book of Spells Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk.)

This company called and asked for the parents of....when I responded that I was mom, he stated that my son had expressed an interest in retaking his SAT.  When I told them that my son at this point had no plans to go to college, I asked about their company name. I was told that the company name was WordSmart.  I told them that I would check to see if they were a valid company registered and would verify with the BBB and the Attorney General and the guy laughed.  Really a hypocrite and I truly believe that this is a scam.  This guy was a reall [***] and very rude and unprofessional.  I am stil reporting this to the Attorney General and most likely the IC3.

Just happend to me too!! it might be a bot? but I'm not sure...

I keep getting calls from this number but I don't pick up. I thought it was maybe a number from a college that is interested from my SAT scores but I'm not anymore after reading other people's responses.

It's really weird, i just picked up the phone when it rang, didnt check the caller id or anything, and it was freaky. i said hello, and it was quiet for a long time, and then i just heard the guy (girl) breathing, and then let out a long sigh, and then they just hung up! It was only after i hung up that i checked the caller id and realized that it was the same number. It's funny though, because i checked out this site again, and saw the post by Concerned Parent, that they said that they were from Wordsmart. It's funny, because we keep getting other calls from a 'Wordsmart Corp'. Same place?
It's just kinda freaky. I wish it would stop.

I've been getting the same calls! I was really surprised that they knew my name...
Now I just automatically reject the calls but they kept calling. So I called it and it gave me the option of being added to the "Do not call List" so I selected it. Hopefully it works out.
