If this was MDS communications this is the second day in a row they failed to leave a message on my machine

The call came it at 8 PM on a Friday night, the caller left a brief 1 sec message of silence on my voice mail.

No message left. I called back and requested to be taken off their calling list.

Keeep calling.  I answered and didn't say anything and no one spoke at the other end so I hung up after a few seconds.

I didn't answer and caller left no message after invitation on message machine.  (2-2-2010)

Called 2/3 and 2/4. Did not leaves message.
I'm getting a lot of 877 phone calls, 7 in the last 2 days.

Keep calling at different times,starts before 8AM EST

I answered call - no reply - no message - I hung after a few seconds

When I get one of these calls, I answer the phone and repeatedly hit the pound key.. usually the call drops when I do that and that number doesn't call back, but this time somebody was saying "Hello?  Hello?"  over my pound key punching.

This number calls repeatedly & has for many weeks now.  If they don't have the courtesy to leave a message, then I won't answer.  I've trained my kids to hit the off button.

They are calling my cell phone number, which I had put on the National Do Not Call List after I started getting these 877 and 866 calls, which does not stop the call ringing, but blocks the connection- still annoying! I think maybe one of my charities sold my number!

This will hopefully help everyone; I Googled MDS Communications, went to their home page, and found that one can request to be taken off their call list. Try it! Other number they have used to call me:877-696-8597.

Caller was Bible League International looking for a donation

Called 4-7-2010 @ 13:03, left no message.  Hung up when recorder started outgoing message.

Telemarketing should be against the law, even charities.  Period.  Any charity that calls raising money and RUDELY insisting that we make a pledge, just lost their potential donation to their cause.  Send an envelope in the mail; you'll be surprised how generous a donation we may give.

-- Research after caller ID: "UNAVAILABLE" called from 877.849.2372 & no message left (do not answer unsolicited calls from toll-free nrs.).  Company contact info avail via ref -a-.   Looks like MDS could learn about micro-marketing (a.k.a. niche marketing) and change over from the old mass market paradigm geared for postal delivery & flier distribution information distribution technologies.  Mass marketing is turn off in electronic age with SPAM and never ending push of unwanted information in people's lives.
