Someone saying they were Adam Daniel left a message on my answering machine wanting me to call them back as soon as possible.  Multiple calls.  One message said they were calling about one of my neighbors.  Didn't return the call and don't expect to ever return it.

had a message on my phone that said me or my husband (and they used our legal names) should call back as soon as possible that this was not a sales call but regarding a person I nor my husband has ever heard of.  They did leave this 877 number but no name as to who he was.  I did call the number back and got the vmail of Adam Daniel.  I did not leave a message and do not plan on calling back.  

What gives??

Some woman named Michelle DePaul called my mother looking for my mother in law.  She was vague about who she was and what she wanted but she tried to pry information out of her about where my mother in law lived and who her children are.  I do not know what this persons beef is but it is a bit firghtening.

Some nasty two-bit collection [***] working for criminal bankers. Just call block her.

They are using numbers and addresses originally put on loan applications which are normally given as "references".  This will normally be those who are Parents, close friends, or others which a person may have listed as a "reference" when applying for a loan.  This could be a loan obtained for College Education to probably any loan which AllianceOne has been hired to collect on.  These could be a book of loans (large number of delinquent loans - usually over a 1,000 in the book, depending on total value) which they purchased or contracted to collect on for a significant % of the collected amount and usually a significant cut in the principle amount of the loan.  As an example, on large books, they can puchase a $1,000,000.00 book for close to 50% ($500,000) of the face value, depending on the actual expected collection value (Students loans are usually higher because most will be Government Insured).

Received a call yesterday, not the first time and the caller said the person they were asking for had given this number as a contact number. The person for whom they were calling did not give this number as a contact number.
These people are a nuisance and persistent too.
