- B| 2 repliesCalled cell, left no message. Tried calling back and it immediately tells you to hold for the next available rep. Any ideas as to who this is?
- KrysSame deal with me. I answered. They call themselves "reading america" good luck finding that company. They want a credit card number to give you a "1000 dollar online shopping spree" and 6 "free" magazines. They say they need the credit card number to charge you 3.80 a month. Right. I'm not an idiot. Dont answer this call.
- Cellphone User| 6 repliesCareful with these people. Probably a scam artist trying to get information from you, I.E. identiy Fraud attempts. best thing to do is ignore them, they will eventually quit calling.
- mobile phonethis number called me twice today. first time i didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. second time i didn't answer, they did leave a message. It went something like this "hello?... guess no one is there... call later... I love you... bye" VERY VERY weird.
- AnnoyedThis number called me twice today and I answered both times to nothing. I'm wondering if my number is on some spam list or something. . .idiots.
- dam peopleso far I had 18 call so far past 2weeks. right now its getting under my skin! How do you get these mother #$#% to stop. I'm ready to take it to the next level and its not someone they would like to talk too!!
- IdiotsReading America. I actually got one guy to respond to some of my questions. Would you know it...he was a supervisor...amazing my luck that I would just call and happen to get a supervisor working the call desk! Yup...just another scam. A group of impolite kids who hang up on you without warning the moment you sound like you're not interested in what they offer.

- annoyedI got the call twice while I was working on Thursday and called back on my way home... I got the 'you've won a $1000 gift card, just for participating' crap... and I said, "what I want to know is how you got my phone number?" and the lady said, "you have a nice day mam" and hung up
also called from 954-671-6946 - same $1000, different name - just hung up on this guy- Caller: Reading America
- MelJust got this call and no one would answer so I hung up on them. Thankfully my cell number will be changing soon
- 877-855-4547This is Read America, they called my daughters cell phone. Thank goodness she is under age and they asked to speak to a parent. I called them and they called my by a name other than my own so I told them I wasn't interested. Good try!
- DKthese people call me in class, and continue calling me...i picked up 1x and they asked is this..... and i said yes, then they hung up! Dont answer just ignore people!
- seriously...i got the "you've won a 1000 dollar online shopping spree" bit because of my "participation in a survey"...when they transferred me to someone who gave me the "details" on how to get the money, they wanted my address and my credit card expiration, then the number, when i asked why this was relevant the lady responded so you don't have to pay 3.80/week for the magazines. i asked if it was an option to pay that rather than give her my credit card number and she hung up.
- SDI recieved a call from this same number yesterday. Mistakenly I called it back thinking it may have been a reputable call. This guy went into this rant how I had been picked at random and won a $1000 online shopping spree and I was only liable for the shipping and handling. I declined and he asked why, I simply told him I was not interested. I was then forwarded to someone else who filled me in about my "prize" that I would receive "just for talking to them". 3 days, 2 nights at any resort in the country and the catch was all I had to do was give them my checking account info. I promptly hung up on the quack.

- jazzymariethis is called a broiler room and your name was put on a call list just say please remove my phone number from your list and hang up if you like their service by law they must follow fed. guidelines.People steal identity from your id card and socialsecurity. creditcards are secure and easy to track.scams are when you give info and they donot give you the product. until that happens they are just telemarketers.

- millsinboots| 2 repliesGot a call from a guy named Barry who talked so fast I could barely understand him. I asked him about 30 very pointed questions, non of which had a solid answer. He told me I was a preferred customer with visa, mastercard, american express, discover card, and they were offering me a shopping spree of $1000 if I bought some magazines for $3.68 a week; and this great offer was given to me because my credit card company gave them my info for being a preferred customer. So I asked him exactly which card it was, and he said he didn't know because my number is on auto-dial at a call center. He said he needed an authorization for my credit card but there would be no charges made. So, I said "if my credit card company gave you my info to offer me something, I would assume you already have my information". Of course, he didn't. He could not explain to me exactly what the whole thing entailed, but he could send it all to me in writing if I authorized it by giving my credit card information. I got the company's website and refused to discuss the offer. www.readingamerica.com. I went there and there is NOTHING on the site about what they really do. They want you to call to see what they can offer but claim to have been in business for 10 years. I am going to call and ask about their company practices and look them up on the BBB website, but I am POSITIVE my creidt card company would offer me something like that themselves, already in writing, if it was legit.
