I'm on the DO NOT CALL list!
Voice mail from Julie saying to call about a check I wrote, (giving the number 877-860-3048) not saying who she was looking for or should I say who wrote the check.  She said she needed some information for verification.   So I called back the number that was on my phone, not the 877# but 313-221-5830.  When I asked who I was talking to, a female told me her name was Brandi.  I asked what the company was she was working for and she said FFG.  I asked her what FFG was and she stated it was a financial institution, then stated it was FFG & Associates.

Also received a call from Joseph at FFG asking for a return call to verify a check I write.  The caller ID showed 720-398-5202, but the automated message said to call 877-860-3048.  Because I rarely write checks and none are outstanding and because the phone number they called me on is not printed on my checks, I am guessing that this is some kind of phishing scam.

Attention debtors: If you owe money due to an outstanding payday loan, chances are you've recieved a call from this number. It is not a scam, it is a financial instituion with legal representation from Rovo & Associates whose primary offices are located in Nevada. Frontier Financial has offices throughout the nation. Most suggesting this is a scam are dead-beat debtors who are so poor and pathetic that they try to find fault in any means of attempts to collect upon their debt. A: If you take out a pay-day loan chances are you've been broke for a while. B: If you take out a pay-day loan and leave a check as your collateral, defaulting on that loan puts you in a situation that is subject to litigation based on your state and county laws. So if you're broke, get a job. If you're hiding, they'll find you eventually. Lastly, if you don't have money, don't take out any kind of loan. Especially a high interest pay-day loan with you're own personal paycheck as secure collateral. Take a business law class or two, idiots.

A post-dated check isn't "secured collateral".  It isn't even "collateral" at all, only an order to a bank to pay you money, if there is any money in the account.

Collateral is a pledge of specific property to a lender, to secure repayment of a loan, and serves as protection against a borrower's default.    If a payday loan borrower defaults, because there is no money in the account to cover the post-dated check when payment is due, how does this check secure anything?

If you made a payday loan, you knew there was no money in the account to pay it back at the time the loan was made.  If you made that loan anyway, you made it at very high rates, to cover that risk.  If you wanted collateral, you could have done a title loan, where you could at least record a lien against a car title.

"Frontier Financial has offices throughout the nation"
    At what addresses?

    "It is a financial instituion"
It's a debt collector, as defined by FDCPA and Nevada law.  Nevada regulates it as a debt collector.

Most people complaining about you are complaining because they are receiving your calls regarding checks or payday loans that are not theirs.  Your "skip-tracing" isn't.

How are you getting along with the West Virginia Attorney General, lately?
