- Charlene| 8 repliesphone rang, i answered it hung up
- chris replies to Charlenea computer called and said northland group and wanted a call back on a business matter.
- Sarah| 1 replyThey called and of course I do not answer phone numbers I do not know. In the message they left, it was a woman and she said this message was for me and or my boyfriend (Said both our full names). One, everything that me and my boyfriend have together is being paid on time every month. Second, we are not exactly married, so why would a company want to talk to a different person other then the "account holder"??? She said we needed to call her back regarding a problem with our account with them. I happen to have good credit and have never had any of my loans, bills sent to a collection agency. So how did they get my name? It's a different story for my boyfriend who does have some credit issues, but that does not explain how they got MY name.
- Caller: The Northland Group
- Kim| 3 repliesThey leave a voicemail for some name ive never hurd of and they say something about an unpaid loan.
they call me once a week LEAVE ME ALONE!- Call type: Debt collector
- sammy| 3 repliesI called the number listed above about a letter I received in the mail claiming I owed money to someone. I noticed that the letter had my name and address but the wrong last four digits of my social security number. I asked the guy who this company was, so he proceeded to tell me Northland Group a debt collecting agency. I told him that this letter was sent to me in error becuase of the social security number and I didn't owe any money to anyone because all my bills are current. Then I asked how did I receive a letter with my name and the wrong social. He then asked me for my address I refused to give him the address because initially he told me the address in their system was for a pennsylvania address. I do not even live in that state or ever have lived in that state. He tried to get my address but I didn't give it to him because I knew it was a scam. So becareful when discussing your personal information with telephone representatives they may not be who you think they are.
- BIg DogThis call was a recording from Northland Group in regards to a debt collection. That asked for someone that had my number 4 years ago.

- DianaI keep getting calls from this number looking for a person w/my last name but first name of "Donna." When I told them I don't know a "Donna" w/my last name they wanted to know how she got my phone number. I told them it was more likely that their "investigators" had found my listing in the phone book b/c I only use my first initial.
They promised they would stop calling me but recently got two calls from same number, didn't answer.- Call type: Debt collector
- NOT a "Diemers"We have received repeated calls from 877-867-3787 saying they are calling for someone name "Diemers". It is usually a recording of a woman's voice with an English accent. They have called since we got our phone number in 2005, calling 2 or 3 times a week. Sometime there is nothing but a hang up. They say they are from the "Lawson Group" and say it's about a tax collection matter.

- tired of phone scammerscalls my number constantly, doesn't leave message. if I do answer phone some garbled recording, then a foreign accent agent comes on and talks gibberish. whoever this scammer is , needs to be shut done.
- Fedup09| 1 replySaw this number on my caller ID several times. Finally, called them back and spoke to someone names "Sam". I asked why they kept calling my house. He told me they were looking for (first name, last name) which the name was that of my mom. I didn't tell him that the person he's looking for was indeed my mom so I told him that that person doesn't live at my address. What gets me is my mom doesn't even live in the same city as I do so why would they call my house looking for her. Scam if you ask me.

- charlene| 1 replyThey called me on my cell phone on 1/22, saying they were a collection agency and that I needed to make payments on my Discover card. They were fishing for my social sec. number. I called Discover to report the call and they said they did not call.

- harassed repeatedly| 2 repliesCaller keeps calling asking for a person I don't know. He asked for my name, social and address. I refused to give it. He told me, 'We know where you live, so be careful.' Really scared me. I asked who it was he refused to give his name, but did say he was with Northland Group. I asked what that was, and he told me that ***** person, owes us money and when I said I wasn't that person, he said, you are a f***ing liar. We know where you live!!! I told him not to call back and hung up on him. Some kind of scam trying to get personal information.

- Still not RochelleI've gotten a couple of calls from here that leave no message, and one saying, "Call back immediately" (I didn't). They ask for someone I've never heard of.
To whom do we report this? - cp| 1 replyI get calls nearly every day from numbers I don't know. I usually don't answer, but this time I decided to give them a taste of their own medicine; when I clicked the phone on, I didn't say a thing. A woman's voice said, "Hello?" A few moments later, she said"Goodbye" and I hung up.
Maybe if they get sick of it they'll stop.
Ha, who am I kidding.
I'm on the Do Not Call list of course, too. Doesn't matter to these people though...- Caller: unknown

- fedup| 1 replyI personally did not receive this call, but 79 year old father did. According to him it was a woman and it pertained to a business matter/loan. My father has been retired for many years and what he has is paid for. These people need to get a clue "whoever they are" for the most part "we" the public are on to them. They need to give up their get rich tele-scams and get a real job like the rest of us.
