Says "John Sareas" -sp?- and "imperative to speak today".
I'm suspicious because he doesn't ask for anyone or say what it's about.

I have received the same message as "Rosa" (see above) with no decleration of intent or whom the caller is inquiring. The message simply states that it is imerative that a return call is made right away and the caller will be in the office until five that day.  When I returned their call, the automated answering service states that the company is "Jacoby Law Firm".

Caller said "Michelle from Jacoby Law Firm." Left message to call about an important matter "1-877-868-2132, extension 1062."  When I returned the call the voice mail system asked me if I knew my party's extention. I dialed "1062" and received a message that this extension was "unavailable" and whether "I wanted to leave a message or be transferred to the next available associate." I hung up without leaving a message.

Same as others, "Jacoby law firm" and it is important I call them back.  They didn't even know who I was; total garbadge.

I got a call from this number said e was from beach and colby law firm, I checked the area code to see where it was from, and the area code is for Trinidad, Tobago....

Got this same call today. Have been getting them about an oerdrawn account from maybe 2-3 years ago.  When I first spoke with someone there they wouldn't give me any spucific detils about the "case" like my bank account number and transacion histor that wuold show the actual overdraft and said I owed let's say a few hundred dollors.  Which was not true, but MAYBE with the ungodly interest... At first they were willing to take payments but only in large chunks to be fully paid within 30 days!?!  So after a good yelling match and being hung up on I called back and clearly had the same person on the phone and she pretended not to know what I was talking about.  So I blew them off for a while then the calls started again.  Then today I got a new message, the one from the "law firm". like it's been said here, they didn't ask for me by name in the message and the call was from this same stupid number.  Not an actual law firm number but an 877 number? Come on.  I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who thought it seemed crazy.

ME 2!!!!  When I refused to pay because they wouldn't give me any other information other than I owed money they said they would transfer my file to their law office to be reviewed.  When I tried looking for the firm online it was nowhere to be found.  They only leave the 877 number and that search on google only leads me here.  Any legit firm would have a website and leave a real number.  what the hell!

wow they must be making their rounds today because I got a call too, and when trying to look them up I ended up @ this site. Thank GOODNESS you guys are all here saying something because I would have spent all night stressing trying to figure out what this was all about.

I received a call today with the same message as Ms. J to contact Jacoby Law Firm at 877-868-2132 for a very important case.  My understanding is that if it is truly a debt collecting agency, they are obligated to contact you by mail and are willing to provide information--not just ask for money.  They did not ask for a particular person nor leave a name for a call to be returned to.  FISHY!

Apparently this is a new number or these guys just got sold a load of zombie debt, as all the reports from this number are recent.  They're calling me too, and I know it has to be zombie debt because the only "bad" debt I have is way over 5 years old.  In light of the above posts, I'm not calling these idiots back.  Amazing to me that in these times when everyone is struggling, they actually think they can resurrect some ancient debt (beyond the statute of limitations in my state) and try to collect.

Same.  Jacoby Law Firm and wanting me to call back and that it is imperative they get a call from me.  If it was that important you think that they would leave the name of the person they were trying to reach.  I always like how collection companies use the words "Law Firm" as to try and scare someone.

I just got a recorded message asking me to call Jacoby Law Firm about an important item at this number.  I will also not call back.  Thanks to all those prior.  I also agree if they want something they can call in person or better yet, identify themselves as a debt collector in writing, and showing what they want and why.
