I've been getting the phone calls also...call me 4-5 times a day but didn't leave messages.

This is very unlikely to be RBC.  Most likely Market Probe Canada, a very annoying telemarketer with highly dubious ethics.

This has to be a scam operation. The male voice had a thick "Bombay" accent - in fact he said - when I asked him - that he "originally came from Bombay but was calling from Toronto". The call display read "RBC" but there was a lot of conversational noise in the background. Not what I would expect from someone calling from a business-office environment. I told him that I suspected he was part of a scam operation and would report the call to a local RBC legitimate business office.

Although I have voicemail, this number has called a couple of times and never left a message or call back number.  That in itself makes me suspicious that it's a telemarketer or some such thing.

I as well have been getting calls from RBC. I looked up the number which brought me here. I have blocked the # now that I know its no one I need to talk to.

I got this call on Thursday, August 14, 2014. No message was left

It's obvious the phone companies either don't care or don't have the talent to put an end to these calls.

Have received 5 calls from this number in the last 3 days. No message left; guessing telemarketer, but still most annoying as it happens while I'm at work and I can't turn my phone off since I need to be available. Called is preceded by 11-877-879-1087. I believe this is an overseas call. Haven't answered it and I don't plan to; just want it to stop.

Getting at least a call a day from this number.  It comes up as "RBC" on the caller display, with whom we have no business.  Have since blocked the number, along with a few other "telemarketers".  We are on the DNC list but are still being plagued by these calls.  Do the rules not apply to them?

This number has called me 5 times today and 18 times this week.
Why cant the phone companies do something about this continued harassment?
I'm about ready to bounce the phone off the nearest wall and cancel my subscription.

RBC on the readout of our phone, said it was a courtesy call. I said, I don't know that you are RBC so no and hung up. They called me by my first name.

Two calls from this # I never picked up reads that the call is coming from the United States

Caller identifying himself as RBC  Insurance. I told him that I do not do banking business over the phone because there are too many scams out there. He had no comment. I hung up.

Didn't answer the call because it appeared to be an unknown number
I didn't want a telemarketer.

First time this number has called they screamed my FULL name at my answering machine a few times then finally hung up. Second time a different person kept saying *hello* as if they didn't know it was a machine that answered.
Now I get the chatter in the background, and has one that started talking with their co-worker or whoever.
The rest of the calls I have gotten from this number is just hang ups on my answering machine. Very annoying. And it fills up in just a few minutes cause they are non-stop

First time I got a call was late last month and everyday since then not including weekends. They call at least 5-10 times daily.

I've dealt with the real RBC and they have always left proper messages and isn't any background noise.

Been getting at least one call a day for the last 2 weeks or so from this number. Never leaves a message. Same thing happened last year or the year before and they kept calling daily weeks from this same number.

They call and don't talk like the call isn't working.
