small business worker - 8 Jul 20082:25pm Female voice called looking for person in charge of phone service, I said we're not looking to change service if that is why they're calling. As I began to say, "please take us.... (off your list we are not looking to change service)" I didn't get past the 3rd word before she said, "We'll call back for HIM another time" then HUNG UP.
*69 gave me this # when I call it says, "thank you for calling customer service, please leave your name & # & we'll get back to you shortly" Please Hold. Rings 7-8 times then recording of sound of someone picking up & hanging up followed by "that mailbox is full, I will transfer you to an operator, please hold" rings 7-8 times exact same thing again & again.

Scared Family - 15 Jul 2008A male called around 6pm telling us that our long distance service charge would be reduced from 15.99 to 5.99 and when we asked what company he was from he said "Long Distance Access" and then we told him we weren't interested and weren't switching phone services. He stated we had Verizon (which we did not) and we said no, then he claimed to be able to put our local and long-distance on one bill which we said we did not want and were not switching. Then he yelled "Then I guess you aren't for the government!!!" which is ridiculous because it had nothing to do with the government.
We had call trace and called the number back and instead of being put on hold like a normal phone company we simply got an answering service saying "You have reached customer service, please leave your name and number"
This is definitely a scammer that attempts to get people to switch long-distance services so we are going to watch our phone bill to make sure no charges are added and that we weren't slammed with a switch.
