Same as everyone else, have a 9.45 charge, funky computer voicemail. Googled and found this site.  Disputed with credit card company. Will post any updates. Anyone else get a update?

I got the same charge yesterday on my mastercard.  $9.55 via Search Management, a bookstore in NY.  The post about DirectTV is interesting.  If we are all set up now or have been with DirectTV auto-billing, this may be the source of how they found our cc numbers!  I would really prefer not to cancel and set up another card, etc.

$9.50 charge appeared 24 March. Disputed 25 March. Never had DirecTV here so that's not how they got mine. How about toysrus, sears, or intuit? They're the only "oddballs" on my statement. Everybody else I deal with regularly (and no autopay accounts for me).

A $9.45 charge appeared on my March 20, 2008 credit card statement.  I disputed the charge.  This card is seldom used.  Had a legitimate charge to the 'Stockingstore' in the state of NY last month.  This is the first time I bought from them.  Based on the nature of other charges that month (2) and the fact that it had been 6 months since the last charge, I am certain the Stocking Store is guilty of sharing my information.  Perhaps they are the same organization.  The company referenced to the charge was the infamous 'Search Management' book store??? of NY.  This behavior constitutes banking and trade fraud.  Since this involves the banking system and interstate commerce, all incidents should be reported to the governing federal agency.  Don't stop here, spend the time to help your fellow man/woman by reporting these folks.

I just found a debit charge for $9.50 on my account dated March 25 from "Search Mgmt".  I just sent an inquiry to my bank asking where it originated from.  I am awaiting a reply but will file a dispute with the bank which is Capitol One.  Has anyone had this charge reversed after disputing it?
I will be contacting the bank to cancel that card also.

This showed up on my AT&T Universal Mastercard on this month's statement.  Same "800" number.

It was listed as "Search Management" and the charge was $9.45.

Mastercard said it was a used bookstore and when I explained neither of the card users had made the charge they resolved the disputed charge in my favor on the spot.

It really pays to pay close attention to your credit card bills - this seems to happen to me about once a year.

Regarding Search Management of NY.  Call your bank and dispute the charge, give the bank this website and explain how to use it if you have to. Then call your local TV station and news agency, I did.  And then tell everyone on your email list about it.  If they can get away with a charge of less than $10, just imagine what can happen next.  And just think of all those people that have not posted a message on this site, that don't check their accounts, all because it is less than $10!!  I cancelled my debit card, and a new one will be here in 4-5 days.  Don't hesitate, ACT!!!  I signed up at donotcall.gov to prevent unwanted phone calls, but the charge on my account was not because of a phone call, it is probably a store I shop at often, whose personal info was compromised, like Hannaford (the latest one).  Where do you shop?

I found a charge on my account in the second week of March for "Search Management" in NY with this phone number. I called the number and left a message to get a call back but none was made. Thanks to this site I understand I've been defrauded and have ordered my bank to block the account and reverse the charge.

WATCH OUT!  These guys showed up on my VISA statement as "Search Management".  It's a full-on scam.  I pity those who don't look closely at their credit card itemization.

I didn't even get a call however I noticed a charge from Search Management on my Visa card for $9.55 and this number was listed.  I just googled it and found this Web site.  I have already contacted my bank.  They said that it looked like a phone order yet I don't order anything over the phone...haven't for years.  I called the number a few times and get a machine right away.  I got my money back from my bank and had to cancel my debit card since they obviously have my card number and that is such a hassle...

Yea, like EVERYONE else on here I was charged $9.50 on my debit card. I read a few posts that talked about books or bookstores, I was looking for a book online last night. I guess I will DELETE my cookies & internet files & history EVERYDAY through INTERNET OPTIONS. I'm also CLOSING that debit card and filing FRAUD charges so I can get my $9.50 BACK...

Just wanted to let everyone know what to do to report this INTERNET FRAUD. I talked to the FTC, he told me to call my STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL, also go to www.IC3.gov  or www.ftc.gov and fill out a complaint form. It was suggested to include COPIES of all of our posts on here. But I would first get your attorney general in you staes phone number and start by calling them.. Here's the Indiana Attorney General # 1-800-382-5516.. I also called my bank to cancel my debit card and will be filing fraud charges with the police...
