This will be your only notice as we are aware that you monitor these sites daily. I am not, never have been and never will be a client of yours. There is no Carl/Pearl or what ever name you come up with. This is a private, unpublished number that we have had since late April. These calls start at 7 am and continue on a daily basis and has to STOP NOW!
You are almost in the limit (with only two calls left) with the local authorities monitoring our phone, then I can file a lawsuit against you! Do you want to take the chance? Or "Whats in your wallet" will soon be in ours!!!!!!! Get the drift???
Govern yourselves accordingly as we mean business!- Caller: Capital One

- Know Your Rights| 3 repliesEvery debtor has an obligation to repay the debt that is owed and to make whatever arrangements are necessary. Ignore is not a good idea for any situation. However if you are overwhelmed seek a credit advice.
On the other side these are the rules and regulations set out by the Government of Canada:
collection agencies are only permitted to call a debtor three times in a seven-day period, including voice messages. Calls may be placed to a debtor between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday

If they are calling you constantly every day then they are in violation and can be severely punished by law and or heavy fines.
Hope this helps and if you are not a debtor to Capital One you have the right to sue for unnecessary harassment.Caller: Capital One Direct- Caller: Capital One Direct
- SickosThese pigs have hounded my elderly, handicapped father for weeks and weeks with 12 - 18 calls a day from various lines all connected to Capital One. He is now in hospital. Hope you ppl can sleep at night.! Disgusting!
Furthermore, my father has never had a credit card in his life. You better hope and pray that my father does not pass any time soon!- Caller: Capital One

- Barb| 1 replythis number keeps calling me and when I answer they hang up. they will phone at least 2-3 times a day but wont talk to me
- Diane| 2 repliesOur employees are not allowed any personal calls, unless it is a family emergency. You @ Capital one are not an emergency. We do not care if one of our employees owes your company funds. It is not our issue. We will not forward any calls. Aain, we do not care. We only care that you are occupying our lines of business. Our business - not yours.
- aj replies to Diane| 1 replythis just happened where someone from this number called my husbands place of work.We got notification from his secretary and she didnt even confirm to them that he works there. She said they have called many time asking about random people that really dont work there, just happened that when they said his name he actually does! She said they tried bullying her for his personal information and she reported it.He btw is only a secondary cardholder.I contacted Capital One myself and it is my belief now that the people who are making these calls are actually just posing as Capital One. Scammers!
- DaveIm pretty sure it's Capital One, yet I block these calls. I call them on my terms to ensure they are who I think they are.
It's appalling how aggressive and rude these people are. I have never been so chastized by other companies I deal with. Even after trying to notify them of making a late payment three times on a Friday afternoon when no human was available to record it, they still relentlessly call and try to shame me on the phone for three days after and promise to continue to until the transaction goes through.
I'm pretty sure they have it backwards. You see Capital One, I pay YOU. It is YOU who should be available for ME at my will, not the other way around.
Best of all, I love getting fincancial advice from a soon-to-be burger flipper working in their call center. - Dave replies to BarbAnother reason I block them. If I don't, they interrupt my work, make me wait if I answer and fill my answering with empty messages if I don't.
Sorry Capital One, I don't tollerate robo calls! - ocean650I have been recieving numerous calls daily starting as early as 8 a.m right up to 8:30pm, and as many as 3-4 calls daily, and they do not leave a message on the answering machine. This has been going on now for the last 2 months! I called that number back, and they answered and identified themself as Capital One Mastercard and immediately asked me for my card number. I did not give my number to them, hung up, and called the REAL Capital One Mastercard number (thats on the back of my card) 1-800-481-3239 and asked them if they could tell me if the number that keeps calling, is in fact Capital One, and informed them of the repeated calls from 877-901-8795 who identify themself as Capital One Mastercard and asked me for my card number over the phone. She looked into it and stated NO it is not Master Card, and stated she would forward that number over to security and have it investigated é fraud department. NEVER give your card number to anyone who calls you. Call the original business yourself. I really feel for victims of crime and despise criminals who are behind this scam! I have also forwarded this information onto the appropriate authoirities to look into.

- oceans650 replies to ajThey are scammersécriminals posing as Capital One. Do NOT give any personal info to them! I called Capital One Master card (from number off back of my card) and they stated that number IS NOT them.

- chunkymonkeyThey phoned the house 21 times in a 4 hour span - do you think this is harassment? I think so...
- Caller: Capitol One

- Fed Up In Calgary replies to Tammy GrayIt's not a private cell phone number anymore. You've put it out there for the whole world to see and if it was unlisted - it ain't anymore. If you want privacy -don't put your damn phone number on the net. Web crawlers dig into every public website looking for phone numbers and email addresses that they add to spam lists. Good luck.
- RAS1944 replies to Know Your Rights| 2 repliesWe're called 4 times a day by Capital One and this has been going on THIS TIME for over the last 2 weeks. Since the first call comes regularly at dawn, we've blocked the number so it just rings ONCE each time.
We have NEVER had any Capital One Credit Cards so these calls are unwarranted as we have no debts with them. We've had this phone number for 18 months so we assume a previous holder is the person they want.
The Canadian Do Not Call registry only prevents telemarketers from calling, not dunning bill collectors with an autodialler and an invalid phone number.
Has anyone, in a similar situation, managed to stop these phone calls? and HOW? - Mama| 2 repliesMaybe if we all paid our bills on time and make payment arrangements when we cant make a full payment, the calls would stop coming in at all hours. Its our fault in the end! You'd call looking for your money too if someone decided not to pay you back and not to answer the phone. Pay the bills!

- Scambuster replies to MamaAttn: Mama ^^^ - these are Scammers trying to STEAL your credit card, banking, SS info, and will harass you and your family, friends and neighbors. You need to quit preaching and do your research. Just because a stranger calls and says someone owes a debt does not mean it is legit. Look at You Tube under Fraudulent Debt Collectors, Debt collection scams, etc. Look at the FBI Internet Crimes website and bulletins posted by the Attorney General. You are very likely to be a victim if you do not do your homework!
- Lisa replies to MamaIt is not always our fault! I have been getting up to 10 calls DAILY from these idiots. I had a family emergency (spent the weekend in the hospital with my father) and paid my bills 3 days late because I was not near a bank/computer. I called every company when I got home and explained the situation as well as the fact that the bill was now paid. More than a month (and another on-time payment) later I am still being harassed by only one company. I have every reason to ignore them. If it was so important for them to contact me they would leave a message and number for me to get back to them, when I don't have a screaming child on my hip!
- CaseyGet calls from them all the time. I do have a loan with them and they had all my info by me giving my phone number. They said they were going to put something in the notes and then I went into my local branch and there was nothing in the notes and nothing about anyone calling me..
