* SCAM so they call and leave a message using my maiden name which I haven't used in 10+ years, then the say I used a check to get a loan. BOTH incorrect because no one uses paper checks anymore and I didn't or have EVER gotten a loan. They like to get rude, very threatening and try tried to at least with me. When I told then what I found on the BBB about them being a fake credit/ debit collection company they first try to argue then will just hang up. So I tried to return the call again ( after blocking my number) and now they wont answer ANY questions and hang up.

This is the second time this company has called and asked for me using my maiden name that has not been used in almost 8 years.  When they call they wanted to confirm the last four of my social security number and had the numbers incorrect.  When I confronted them about it being a scam they told me not to worry about it and hung up.

Threatened to serve court papers because I didn't pay an online payday loan that I didn't I had. Said Alpine Direct Services was using them to collect the debt and that they tried to run payment through my bank but account was closed. I am a senior and try to beware of these calls and they scared me onto setting up payments which started with $120 coming out of my bank account today. I tried to cancel after reading reviews but was too late.

Called saying there was a civil suit against me due to a returned item from my bank. I returned call to the 281-709-2601 number from which they called. Person I was sent to was very rude and threatening when I refused to verify the last four of my social. I received a second call asking for that information. I refused to give any verification or information. I said I would be checking with my bank.

Caller called my family member as well. Scared her half to death! Said that I was going to be arrested if I don't call back in 3 hours etc. Told my family member that it was for a US Cellular bill. I HAVE NEVER had US Cellular or any other cell phone bill in my name! What, are they afraid to call me? None of my contact numbers have changed in 15 years! Who can we report this trash to? Call came in on 422-4626, no area code and they left this 877-929-0850 number to call them back on.

I got several phone calls from a (414) area code leaving me messeges as Michele Brown (again with the thick accent) saying she was from the "pre trail processing from the state of WI". I finally answered the call today 9/29/15 @ 8:30pm and she wanted verification of my ssc# , I refused, she then asked for verification of my address (the one she had is over 4 years old) I again refused she then said they will file under the current ssc# they have I told her to go ahead. If this "person" really was looking for me, I'm not hiding! She had the incorrect last name (married 9mnths ago), incorrect address, and incorrect place of employment for almost 2 yrs. #was 877-929-0800 she left and # she called from was 414-209-4876 and 715-204-7840. Got a message on my machine from these scum today, 10-1-2015, saying I was about o be served with charges for an online loan from 2010.  I may be getting old and fuzzy headed but that is garbage! They had the last 4 of my social somehow and wanted from $4500 to $7500 today at different times during the call and told me to get a good lawyer as they were directing their "client" to file charges of theft from a financial institution and fraud or some crap. They said they are only the "arbitration company" so don't get mad at them. HA!! I  couldn't understand the name of the company, there was too much background noise and the caller had an accent. My caller ID showed a local number when they called then told me to call this 877 #.  I hope they get what they have coming, the scumbags!!!

That Michelle Brown 877-929-0850 called my parents house, haven't lived there in 25yrs. She used my maiden name also like above, she said I owed money and was going to get sued. She was also rude. How are these people getting away with this?

I received two calls today (10-6-15) from an "Emily Brown" (do they ALL have the same last name or what?) indicating they are from civil processing center for the state of Texas or some kinda nonsense.( I couldn't really understand through that thick accent). The original call number was (281) 709-2601. The message stated to call 1-877-929-0850. Something about how if I don't call back I've been "officially notified" and they will be "actively pursuing me at my place of employment and my residence". If I'm located, they said, I've forfeited any rights I may have. Ohh, shiver me timbers, I'm shaking in my boots, lol. Anyway, it's all B.S. I just hope they are unable to take advantage of any more people. I wish there was something that could be done to report them or stop them.

Called my parents house and said I had 2-4 hours to get back with them or I would be taken to court. I call the number and give them the case # they gave my mom and they give me the last 4 of my social, my address and ask if I still work or did work at "the cake shop" or "Anthony". First off, is there a place called "Anthony"? No, wrong. Said I got a payday loan online in 2010. Nope, NEVER done that. When I asked who the original loan was through she said "Mesa Financial". Told her I've never had a loan through them. She says they work with all these online places.....named a ton (super fast, couldn't even write them down she was going so fast) cashnet.com, paydayloan.com, usa somthing or other. Ummm....nope, never done that! SCAMMERS!!!!! I'm pretty sure she would have had to know who the original loan was through, not that "it could be one of these". How do these douchbags sleep at night? Hey, here's an idea, GET A [***] JOB AND WORK FOR YOUR MONEY INSTEAD OF TAKING MINE!!!! Which is kind of what I said, but she said, it wasn't my money and that I owed it to the lender. Something about me being malicious, blah, blah. Time to change your story people!
