It was a recording saying my debt card had been frozen. When I called there was a message stating that I needed to give my debt card number and they would unfreeze the account.

Got a call from this number this morning. I was at work so i listened to the vm later. They said i may have a temporary hold on my debit account and to either call them or go online to have it lifted. Thought it was a scam so i called my bank, and it turns out i was right. My bank said nothing was wrong with my account, and ive already put in a scam report with them, too. Do not give this number your banking info. This is a SCAM!!

I got a call too from this number with the same message as everyone else.  "There may have been an error with my debit card...".  When I called back it was disconnected.  I called my bank and there was no trace that they had called me.  Definitely a scam!!!!! Beware, give no information.

What a scam.. left a message saying my "debit card" was frozen. Ok, which one? What company? How about the last 4 of the card? This message is so generic it has to be a scam.

They call trying to convince you that your card has been frozen for your protection. They ask for personal information in order to reactivate your account. I called the bank and was told that everything was okay with the account.
When I called them later in the day, the number was disconected.

I've gotten 5 calls in 4 days. just a machine, never a person. They said my debit card had been compromised and the debit card is now on freeze. IF that were true, MY bank would have contacted me directly, as it did when my card got unknown charges. I also got the call on my cell phone, which I don't share w/anyone. so wth? how do we report them? I'm already on a do not call list!

Got the same call telling me that my "Arrival" card had had a hold placed on it. Non-working number. Normally fraud protection has a live person that calls. I was a little leery of a recording to begin with.

Scammers  have skimmed debit card numbers, calling to get more information so that they can use them to charge your account.

They just called me and said they were with Charter Bank and they were freezing my account information I would need to call and unfreeze my accounts.  VERY SCARY!  Except of course that I don't have an account with Charter Bank and never have had one.  Thus, I'm okay with the freezing any activity on the accounts I don't have.

I just had a call saying something about my debit card being frozen.  Has to be a scam.  Why can't we just lock people like this in prison and throw away the key.

Call to my cell phone claimed to be from Charter Bank.  Recording said that my account had been frozen and to press "1" to fix the problem or call the number back.  I did neither.
