Received a voice mail from this number (1-877-994-9115). Woman's voice with nice demeanor. Name given of caller was "Dianne". Requested that I call back by end of the business day, 9pm.

Seems that this # belongs to Americredit Collections.

I got the same call today.  On my CELL phone no less.  I have no account with these people and have never heard of them.  They are apparently an auto financer.  I checked with my auto loan holder and they know nothing of these people.  Sounds like a scam to me.

Also, the number that appeared on my phone was not the number they asked me to call.  I did a reverse phone look up on the number and it is a Bell Canada number!!?!?!!

Bell Canada is a service provider that has 1-800 tollfree numbers that you can call into ie. Amercredit. If their office is based in BC and they are calling someone in Toronto their outbound number shows up. Which means they can only call out from that number, but their inbound calling number is the 1-800 number.  That's how tollfree numbers work.

Americredit Corp-They are an independent automobile financing company. Their main office is in Texas.
They should only be calling you if you have a car loan through them, unless they mistakenly have the wrong number. They do have a collection department for people who are behind on paying their loans.
But as far as i know the number shown is not related to any kind of telemarketing or sales.

Please make them stop. They just keep calling eventhough you call them back

Americredit - uses several numbers, but 2 most recent 705-876-3999 (number from caller ID) and 877-994-9115 (toll free number given to return their call).

Americredit called our company for someone that works as a driver. Unacceptable!

ReportIng  a phone call from 877-994-9115 representing them as from Americredit part of GM Financial. I do not respond because I believe they are a scam -I have not had any business dealing with GB Financial ever!!! The caller even gave the website for GM Financial with whom I have no account or ever had one,

Some of you are just a little too quick to call scam on most anything.  This is a legitimate phone number from AmeriCredit (now GM financial)  that calls if you are behind on your payments, or in my case, if you have recently switched your insurance to get your new insurance information.  If you don't have an account with them, they may just have the wrong number, or perhaps are trying to skiptrace someone they can't locate.

I have an account with them... the numbers listed through out this thread are correct, not a scam.  If you do not have an account with AmeriCredit or GM Financial, I'd suggest calling them back and advising they have the wrong person/number.  Their customer service people really are very nice and will take care of it for you.

AmeriCredit.  They leave the toll free number on the message.  Incoming number showed out of Ontario.
I have poken with them before, this is a legit car loan collections.

877-994-9115 is indeed GM Financial/Americredit. For Car Loan is Legit...........I have an account with them.

GM financial, never do business with them, its bad news

These people just left a message for me AT WORK on my HR Manager's voicemail and told me "it was in my best interest to return their call today.  That's [***]!

It is from December 30, 2007 to November 14, 2014. You have to prove they called you with phone bills (who has a phone bill from 2007??? or 2011 for that matter).
