I keep getting calls from a local number in my area (417)771-3976, but they leave a message stating that they have a "legal packet"  to deliver to me, and to call the above number back if I want to change the delivery date.  They give me a reference number, but when I call the local number back it rings about 20 times, then I get "cannot complete this call as dialed".  When I called the 885 number back a lady answers just using her name.  When I asked who the company was, she immediately just asked for my reference number, so I hung up.  Is anyone aware if this is a scam.  It seems fishy to me, and I have a history of being scammed, and I don't want to deal with it again.  Thank you for any input!

I got this same number from a lady stating shes from nationwide courier services and that she needs to know if I will be available for a package delivery from 3-5. I told her no thank you thinking this was a scam as well and hung up. She calls back immediately and gets rude with me and rattles my address off and a time and hangs up on me. Legal packets are served via civil servants in my area. A courier service wouldn't be used. So I am sure this is a scam as I have reached out to the website of nationwide courier services and they deny anything with them.
