I got a call from this number claiming to be "nationwide verification center".  They said that my checking account number was found on the computer, and they would like to remove it.  I said go ahead and remove it, after which they hung up.

Somebody from this number has been calling me for the last 45 minutes. They don't say anything but there is talking in the background that sounds like little kids.

This number called a few times today. When I picked up she told me I had applied for a loan which I hadn't.  I asked to speak to a supervisor to have my name removed.  She didn't say anything, just put me on hold and I've been on hold for about 30 minutes now.

I want them to stop calling me.

I got a call from this number, but didn't answer. They left a message but all that was on the message was classical music.I tried calling the number back. It said it was a non valid number.

One of my clients received calls from this number telling her that her checking account number has been spread all over, and they needed her to verify her numbers so they could "fix her account." She promptly told them her Bank would not use an outside company and that she was going to her Bank to report this. The caller hung up after a heatedword exchange.

I also received a call from the Nationwide Verification Center today, March 2, 2010 saying my bank account information was hacked and was on the net.  The man that called was very persistent saying they would block it free of charge (which you know is not true) if I gave him my account number.  I told him to tell me what number he had and I would verify if it was correct, which he wouldn"t.  He said he could only call once, If I didn't give hiim the info. he would make a note of that and I would be responsible for whatever happened.  I told him no way, upon which he hung up.  I notified local authorities and they said they get about five calls every day about the same 'setup',
