- gforceone| 6 repliesHi Keith,
I had the same thing happen and was charged 2 fees 1 for handling $3.88 and 1 for Google Pro $72.21. I'm wondering if you have had anything like this happen to you. Please respond, this type of ambush selling is illegal and we must search out how to get it stopped.
Please reply, so I'll know you've received my msg
Thanks - Gustaff replies to gforceone| 4 repliesThis company is NOT GOOGLE. The company behind this scheme is called Infusion Media out of Draper,UT. This company simply scams people out of thousand of dollars with the pretex of helping them start their own internet business. They walk you through this "qualification" process in order to find out how much money you have in your credit cards. This is all sweet talk and no action. The website is simply a compilation of garbage. The idea is to make you feel incompetent so you ask them for their "help". Yeah right...help getting into thousands of dollars in debt.
I got the following from the bbb:
LVFG Inc.
Infusion Media, Inc
405 East 12450 South Ste G
Draper, UT 84020
I found out their CS number is not from Nevada but from Utah. (reverse search)
Utah seems to be the fraud mecca. The AG has been on top of this without any luck.
I decided to charge-back since I was never able to get in touch with a supervisor. I google Earth this company and it is an address in the middle of nowhere. - prettymuchyeah replies to GustaffI know quite a bit about this company now. You wouldn't believe how much money these owners are bringing in!! Especially how they spend it, it is insane! That is also not the address anymore. They moved to a new place within the same city.
BTW Utah is the #1 place for scams. The reason is because people in Utah are much more trusting. I know, I live here. - Wendy replies to GustaffI just spoke with a nice lady at google in Santa Monica. she said to go ahead and report the phone number to www.ftc.gov/phonefraud
As soon as I had googled the 888 number and saw these postings, I immediately cancelled my credit card.... - HsenibI got the call from this number regarding Google Profit Kit. They had an interview process and once qualified they asked you for the upfront payment in order to make money.
Ultimately, I came to know this is big fraud. This is not Google.
Stay away from these guys.
