caller keeps calling with no answer!

These idiots keep sending faxes to our phone for the past 6 months now. Thrice I have called the number back and got voice mail that asked me to enter the number I don't want any faxes sent to. I did, thrice, and they have not cared.
I am going to send them a Cease and Desist fax now, and if they continue, I will contact a small claims court.

Receive calls everyday - it's a fax machine

I think this is a scam. I tryed to call back after glancing at the phone and accidentally called 800-211-5878. It was some sort of phone sex number. I also have left my number with the automated system trying to get taken off the list but still recieve calls.

Finally plugged in my fax to see who this was and received a fax from Sierra Contracting in California. Their number is 760-745-8769, fax. 760-745-5121, no 800 phone number on the fax but email for Amber Baenen: estimating@sierracontracting.net
I've sent an email to be removed so let's see what happens. There will be repercussions for any further unwanted calls from them.

I talked to Amber, she doesn't have any idea why it's faxing me, though she's nice enough.  Are you sure this fax number goes to Sierra Consulting? She has no record of it.

I am also getting these calls, and plugged in my fax, but I got the contact info for a different contracting company.  I think that they are using old lists to autodial potential contractors in whatever area there is a job.  I would like to find the phone number of the company actually making these calls.  At the very least I'm going to spam the hell out of their fax service.

Same experience, the line attempts to fax a non-fax number.  In our case it is a cell phone, then we get voicemails of the beeping fax machine.  I also tried to remove the number by using the automated system.  I also tried to send a fax to the number but it has been busy all day.  It's interesting that these complaints came up when I googled the phone number.  I was hoping to find the company connected to the line.

tied up my business line all day. seems like its trying to send a fax. i got through to the automated my next step is to contact someone at my phone co. to file a complaint maybe they can help.

These idiots faxed me at 11:40 p.m. last night 2/12/2009/ Not only that it called 3 times in a row!!! When you have to be in bed by 9:30 p.m. and up at 5:00 a.m. this is totally ridiculous. And we get these fax beeps on our answering machine all the time--definitely harrassment. They send these blast faxes out at all hours of the day and night and they do not care. I am reporting this to the FCC!! Thanks for the tip on whoever plugged in their fax number to receive the incoming fax--nice work!

it rings, i pick up and nothing but beeps!!! this number will call every 5 minutes!!!

has anyone found a real number for who is sending these fax'es or the company name/location??  If someone can find this information we should not only file complaints but also find the name/phone number for the company president and start spamming his phone at his home.   maybe then they will get the hint

Calls all day and night this has got to STOP!!!!!!!

I work for the company that is providing this faxing service.  Recently, I learned about this site from one of our fax customers.

I would first like to apologize to any who have received fax related calls through our service erroneously.  

We provide business-to-business internet faxing services for commercial contractors.  Of the millions of faxes we process each year, we have had a very small percentage of errors.  These errors can often be classified into two categories:

1. Data entry errors – a customer’s fax number is typed incorrectly
2. Phone companies will reassign phone numbers (previously a fax line) to new customers

That is why we list the 1-888-211-5878 number in the caller-id display, so that by calling this phone number, individuals can add their number to our do-not-call list.

If you continue to receive calls after entering your phone number into our automated do-not-call response system, please email me your phone number and I will make sure that the problem gets resolved (support@bidmail.com).

This phone number shows up on my cell at night and it comes from a fax.
It calls over and over and over at night just bed time approaches.

They called me last night 12:30 a.m. Called Sierra Contracting they gave me the number to call 714-673-6000. I called and the said it would not happen again. We'll see.

I filed a complaint at www.donotcall.gov/. The website is hosted by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). If you are signed up on the "Do Not Call" list, I recommend you do the same. An excerpt from the website: "A consumer who receives a telemarketing call despite being on the registry will be able to file a complaint with the FTC, either online or by calling a toll-free number. Violators could be fined up to $11,000 per incident." This may be motivation for this company to fix their long standing, extremely annoying, intrusive glitch.
