I got a call from this number, on my cell phone,from a Jim Brooks,  regarding someone whom I am not even related too or have any "legal dealings" with in any way, just an aquaintance.The phone number called from was a local one but the one left was 1-888-213-8008 They said they had info on me and my family and tried to bully me but I politely told them not to call the number again and hung up on them.

I also got a call from this guy and said that I was in violation of court order. His name was Jim Brooks and said I could settle out of court. He told me I could call him anytime with this 888 number. It sounded fishy. The number he called from was local also. Why does this guy continue to do that kind of work? Did he continue calling you back?

Also got a call from this scumbag somehow from a local number saying I had violated a court and it was "TIME TO PAY THE PIPER."

got the same message.  this scum used a phony caller ID. He rude and threatening.  He told me he did not need to obey laws about using misleading I.D.'s!! Freely discussed confidential information

2nd call from Jim Brooks, I am being told that I will loose my license, it will be a felony case, I am going to prison, send payment at once and make arrangements for further payments. Mr. Brooks is not with any state, federal or local agency. I told him months ago to send a registered letter with a case number. I called my state child support agency, they informed me there is no support due. I have paid in full, I gained custody of my child when the "custodial" mother was in prison for years on prostition charges and drug running. This custodial "mother" has not been in an active role as a parent for years. I paid for braces, camps, air fair, clothes, all above and beyond support. There is no court order in my county for back support. Mr. Brooks is rude, obnoxious, does not know the law. I have reported him to the local authority, no more calls.
This is total BS.

Numerous calls (probably 15) from Jim Brooks during past 8wks. I advised him that an order was signed and in effect since 2003 advising that no monies are owed and everything has been "zero'd" out. I told him what city/state to look for order advising of such and to not call my home again. Lately, he is calling from a variety of numbers. When my 11yr old answers and advises that I am not home, he tells her that I HAVE to call him and that I am in violation of a court order and that I am facing jail time!  He is scaring my child to death! He can obviously tell that he is speaking with a child when she answers.  It's a shame that he doesn't have a desire to obtain a copy of the most recent court order dissolving me of the financial obligation. Due to his lack of follow-up based upon the info I've provided to him, I am now of the belief that he is simply out to HARASS us as opposed to honestly attempting to collect a debt. It's a shame that our family can no longer feel safe to have our daughter answer the phone in our own home.

Been contacted twice by Jim Brooks using local number but wanting me to call him at 888-213-8008 Claims to be from Child Support Enforcement. Says he needs to collect 20 something thousand dollars for back child support. Or he will file suite. contacted the authourities and reported him for fraud

Got a call from Jim Brooks, giving me two choices, pay 48k in payments or offer 10k to 12k cash settlement for child support dated back in 1978.  Whatever you do "do not contact your x-wife" this thing really unsettled me and my wife of 35 years.  After reading the post, I guess I will wait and see.  Meanwhile we are going to introduce Jim Brooks to our local police department.

I got a call from him also. Turns out he is with a private child support agency. I just got a garnishment at my job for back support. Not sure what is going on.

Got a call from this guy..Child support? lol..my kids are and were of age when I got divorced....I even heard this guy snicker in the background....be wary!!

well mr brooks after yesterday when i told my wife what happened , she said she would not be at home when i got there! she left me because of all this! so not only have i paid child support for over 18years! now you say that i owe more support when the mother of my child collected support from missouri for 18years! and they closed the case! well i give up so i lost my wife and i now my shop that i worked for dont like this about the garnishment so i quit my job and go ahead and file what ever your going to file and you will be able to find me in downtown portland at a corner bar just staying fricken drunk!!! thats all i am going to do is stay drunk!!!!!! oh just so who ever post on this web page under stand that mr jim brookes with the phone# 888-213-8008 or 763-712-3725 checks on here to see what people have posted so any way have a good fricken day MR BROOKES!!!

       If your drinking you have money and your job doesn't care about your garnishments from your check that is your money not theirs. Be a man you should know you can run but can't hide be a man
If you paid you child support they wouldn't be taking it from your checks
        Actually that goes for all you noncustodial parents if you didn't owe money you wouldn't be getting calls stating you owe money

Just got a call from Jim Brooks, saying that I needed to call back regarding a "court order." Needless to say I did not call back. Hope this helps other people who get the same type of call. Thanks to the Folks who put this site together. Pax, Jake

Jim Brooks, or whatever this maggots name is appears to be really low on the IQ totem pole. I do have a court case pending with my worthless ex, but this maggot knew nothing about it. Curious. Wrong about everything, yet he's investigating for my ex's lawyer (Glenda) in Dekalb county or thereabouts?

I got a call frim Jim Brooks today. Very shady and unprofessional. I will be reporting him too.

Attorney General! This guys a joke and will be shut down. Already recorded 2 calls and forwarded them to the Attorney General's Office! This clown tried telling me I haven't taken care of my kids when I still have a great relationship with all my kids. Tried telling me I owed a crazy amount of money when I don't owe a single penny. I called the state to verify it just to be sure and they told me that they get numerous complaints about this clown. This clown used profanity like it was his job. Happy he called me because I'll spend every day until the end of my life making sure this clown gets what he deserves!

Jim Brooks called and informed me I have a court order that I am in violation of.  Didn't call him back because of this great website and information from others.  My child support account was closed out a long time ago with no monies in arrears, verified by the state I reside in.  I always took care of my responsibilities.  No truths coming from Jim!!!
